Do you have a picture of the dress we can see? Where is the wedding going to take place? You can always considering adding a little “umph” with a beaded sash or jewelry. The type of veil can make a huge difference too…

I am having the same issue. I went dress shopping early but I didn’t know at David’s you took the dress home with you. So I’ve had this dress since December (I think) and now I’m having 2nd thoughts. It’s too late to change it, so I’m taking it to see if I can get it altered somehow.

I would suggest maybe trying it on again and asking yourself if you like it or not. At the end of the day, it’s all about whether you’re happy or not. If you have the budget, you have the time to order a new one if you’d like. Do you have a pic of it? And I know I want to know my fiance’s opinion as well but I don’t want him to see the dress. Maybe you could ask other people? I know maybe if you posted a picture of you in it on here you would get some feedback, but again in the end it’s your decision. Good luck : )

@pinktulips2012: If you post pictures of your dress and concerning you about it I think bees will be better able to help you. I haven’t had dress regret but from what Iv’e seen here on the board this is quiet common to feel this way, I guess the long wait and not being able to share with your FI makes it harder. I think a little tip would be to look back at the photos of your dress and remind yourself why you chose it, what you saw beautiful in it and how it made you feel when you bought it! (assuming that you were feeling positive emotions about it). Whatever it is, give it some time before you make a rushed decision about another gown. Smile

Edit- oopps I just noticed that you posted pic’s, I honestly think your dress is beautiful on you but it’s really up to you. It is very classy and elegant!

I like it! I think it’s very classy and elegant, especailly if you’re getting it in ivory and you’re going for a elegant/vintage theme. It will look great with the veil you described.

I don’t think you need a crinoline (funny I just posted my pictures asking bees to decide with or without crinoline)… it is beautiful the way it is, flowing. From what you describe it seems that your dress matches your venue and I think you nailed the look you are trying to achieve.

You look beautiful! I don’t think you need to add crinoline. I love how it falls naturally — very elegant. Also, love the fact that you’ll be wearing an heirloom veil.

I think that dress is beautiful.  Its a very elegant and classic look.  I think with the veil and location you described, its beauty will be understated and AMAZING.  I think it’s perfect for the look and feel you are talking about.  But if you dont feel it… consider what you think would be perfect.  Maybe go try others on and see if there is another dress for you.  You may find in trying on others that this really is your dress… or not… but at least you;ll know.

It’s very classic and elegant, I agree. 🙂 With the veil, that look will be complete and you will look absolutely beautiful and perfect for your venue. 🙂

i think your dress is beautiful – sometimes the bee and wedding blogs can be detrimental to wedding planning! haha slightly kidding…i love it so much here(clearly im still here after getting married) but i kept seeing so many beautiful dresses and themes and colors i couldnt help but second guess many things about my wedding.. you just have to try and remember why you fell in love with it to begin with and what was so special about it that made you want to purchase.

i would highly suggest not browsing or trying on dresses if you dont plan to buy another.

i would also do a quick search on dress regret on the threads – here is one that i commented on a while back.

I think the dress is great and definitely has “wow” factor.  Do not worry – it’s perfect!  Try the crinoline if you want more poof, but I really like it.
