I'm having second thoughts about the dress I purchased. We are having a formal wedding in March 2012. I love the dress, and have been eyeing it for months. I tried on 5 dressses before this one. I want to wear the dress and not have the dress wear me. I think it may be too much dress. I'm 5 feet 4in tall, size 8 dress. I love the details on the skirt and I hope I'm not over analyzing the dress on me. The picture below is not a picture of me, that's the model. Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of me in the dress.

It's so pretty! I'm not sure how to help...but I think it's normal to feel some anxiety over a dress purchase. I certainly did....sometimes I feel like I should have gotten MORE dress than I did.

Wish we could see pics of you in it...but anyway. Short stature doesn't mean you can't wear an extravagant gown. Think of Kim K! (or don't, hehe)...I'm sure you can rock this dress. Wear super high heels, and a simple viel, classy hair and make ur eyes pop. I'm sure once you see yourself all done up you won't feel like the dress is wearing you.

Your dress is beautiful, elegant, and chic! It's the perfect dress for your formal wedding. I am 5'3 and a size 8 as well and I have tried on dresses that have a similar skirt as your and I didn't look as if the dress was wearing me. More than likely you are probabling considering wearing high heels with the dress so it will give more height. Also, your other option would be cutting the length of the dress. If you decide to do that then I suggest having the shoes you plan to use so it can be used as a reference as to how much needs to cut. Either way, it's a beautiful dress and I'm sure you will look as beautiful.

Maybe you can try posting pics? It would give us a better idea. :)

I'm assuming since you don't have a picture of you in it that you don't actually have the dress. With that in mind maybe you should see if you can try on the sample again? It should either totally ease your mind or let you decide that you do need to do something else.
