I’m always looking around online and in magazines… I probably won’t go to a bridal boutique until February or so..

I actually went for my first round of shopping this weekend!  I know I have plenty of time-but with a new years eve wedding I wanted something different from a traditional dress. So knowing how picky I am-i thought it was better to start early!

I’ll probably go dress shopping for the first time this December.  I’m going to try to lose some weight first.  (Overall goal for wedding would be to lose 30 lbs.  Really hoping to be halfway there by the time I go dress shopping.)

I bought my dress in late 2011, so it’s been sitting in my closet for ages – just a piece of advice, once you buy it and it’s final – do not look at any more dresses! You’ll always see something else you like, trust me.

I went dress shopping in late October and was surprised to find “the one”! I don’t think it’s too soon to go shopping- my dress isn’t coming in until July and then I’ll have a slight buffer of time for alterations. Never too early!

@Miss Confetti:  I had the same thought, which is why I was so surprised to have found it on my first shopping trip! Lots of sparkle, classy, but says I’m here to party and bring in the New Year! 🙂

all the shops in my area are having winter specials so I went out to look-  to my surprise I feel in love with a dress that had one small thing I didn’t like-the corset back.  I checked the online site of Davids Bridal and they had the same dress but a season of our style and with the zipper/buttons I wanted.  The best part it was more than 50% off of the one I loved.  So now I have a venue- and a dress-  and I won’t list all things I dont have done because Dec will be here before I know it and I will change my mind a million more times-  being a DIY’er is sometimes a bad thing-  My crafty side is always looking to change things or make it better-
