So this post is going to sound pathetic but I thought I’m probably not the only one who has felt this way!
So yesterday was the first day I got to try on wedding dresses. I was so excited! I’ve been so busy I have not had much time to look around but had some idea of what I wanted. When I was trying on dresses it was clear I have an awkward figure. Bigger at top with a flat bottom lol. Any way nothing really seemed to “fit my figure”.
It just makes me wonder if I’ll ever find “the one”. I’ve never considered myself pretty and worry even on my wedding day I won’t like the way I look. What’s the best way of going about finding a dress when none of the styles seem to fit my body?

I think you should look online or in magazines to get an idea of what u like, and keep trying 🙂

Just keep trying on dresses of different styles until you decide which one is best for your figure.
After that, try on dresses of the same style till you find the one that has your name all over it.

I understand completely, my body is like 4 different sizes. I searched online “best wedding dress styles for my body type”. A lot of the bridal magazines gives examples of body shapes and helps pick out dresses for pear, curvy, hour glass, straight…etc. I have my first set of appointments in a few weeks. After reading some magazine reviews they have recommended ballgown and a-line, so I’ll start with that.
On an episode of Say Yes to the Dress they had a girl try on each style of dresses, (regardless if she actually liked the dress) to find out which fit she liked the best and went from there. I will probably have to do that!
It may take some time but they have dresses for every shape and size, keep your head up…you will find one and look amazing 🙂
