You chose a winner! Looks great on you. I love the last dress you posted too :)
I'm having some trouble mainly because I love everything I put on, even dresses I think will look bad on me! I really want to find a pink dress which causes more issues too since its more limited.
I am in agreement with the PP.. I love the one you chose and the last one you posted. Just curious... what did you think about the one shoulder dresses you tried on?
I am going dress shopping in October and have been looking around and have liked some of the one shoulder looks on other people ( and of course on the models) Thoughts??
I am also a Casablanca 1827 bride! It's such a light-weight, fun, and gorgeous dress. Good choice. ;-)
You look gorgeous in all of the dresses, too!
I echo your suggestion to others who are starting dress shopping - if you're bringing friends/family along, make it a small group. I took 3 special women w/me - my future step-mother-in-law, my future aunt-in-law, and my mother. These are the women who know me best and who I knew would shoot straight w/me and help me, not hinder me, in finding the right dress.
There were 2 different styles that I tried on that were one shoulder dresses. The one I post above, and another one that looked very very similar except with a sweetheart neckline. I loved the one shoulder look. It was actually in my top 3, with the casablanca and the other photo above. I loved them because they were different than your average strapless bridal gown. It was similar to the one below. I believe I have a picture on my other computer and will upload it for you once I get home so you can see it on a real person :)

I had the same problem. I often put a dress back when I see it on the hangar, thinking it's not going to be "the one" for me. And then onceI put them on, I end up liking them all! But I could definitely tell a difference when I put on the casablanca and had a different feeling and "loved" it... compared to be liking all of the others. Like they say, once you know... you just know. Definitely hold out for your "love" dress.
I LOVE that dress... that is why I want to go with something one shouldered, but haven't seen many real brides who opted for that look... pics would be great! I cannot wait to go dress shopping now... seeing them on other ladies gives me a good idea how they may actually fit!
I will also be wearing the casablanca 1827 on June 15th, 2012! After going to 10 or more stores and trying on at least 50 dresses, I finally made up my mind yesterday. I am having it custom made to be more of a slim A-line/trumpet rather than an A line.
@juniebee: Wow! We are dress AND date twins! Thats fantastic! Which color did you choose?
That's my dress too!!! I have the Ivy. It is so gorgeous, I never thought I would have a lace dress but fell in love with it. My date is exactly a month after both of you :)
Looks lovely!
Also, would you mind telling me what the dress in the last picture is? I really like it!
@kate421: I actually don't remember what the name or maker of that specific dress was :/ However my sister in law took all the photos, I will try and find out if she remembers who the designer was
If anyone is looking for the Casablanca 1827 gown, I have a brand new one (with the original tags) in size 6. It is white and in perfect condition...I'm trying to get it out of my closet and on a soon-to-be bride that will love wearing it :) $700 including shipping.
You can message me or email me at michelle.sanjose@gmail.com for photos/more info.
@KaitlynnMarieXoxo: I chose the Ivory. Can't wait for it to come in!

Every soon to be bride knows that one of the hardest parts in the wedding planning process is finding the PERFECT wedding dress to walk down the aisle in. My experience was... well... rather interesting. (Tip to those who have no gone to find their dress yet... DO NOT take a lot of people with you. I took my best friend, my oldest sister, my maid of honor/other sister, my sister-in-law, and my mom. Way too many opinions=a stress aggravating day) However, after trying on plenty and plenty of dresses, I finally found my dress, the Casablanca 1827. I'll be wearing it in Champagne with and Ivory overlay (the dress consultant recommending this to see the detailing better, I have been a little worried that the champagne would be "too champagne" for my taste, but after seeing pictures of others in it, I love it. Here are pictures of my journey to finding my dress. These are only about 1/3 of the dresses I tried on. Anyone else find searching for there dress to be mission almost-impossible?
Here is my Casablanca 1827. Sorry for the facial expressions. I'm not much of a good-looking-candid photo taker. And some photos we had to "sneak" :)
It is also the dress Mrs. Champagne wore in her wedding
This was my "love it" dress before I put on my Casablanca. This was 2 seconds away from being bought, until I remembered my wedding is in June in sunny San Diego, and I would rather have something much lighter.
Here are some others:
