So the date got moved to this year meaning I’m almost a year away from the big day. I have been looking at dresses in magazines for the past year (ha ha ha). I am incredibly tempted to jump into the hunt but at the same time new designs come out for Alfred Angelo in December? Some of the designers I like are Maggie Sottero, Alfred Angelo, Jasmine, and Allure. I’m worried I’m going to like the new line ups for the Spring season to start now. Also, are Fall 2011 designs more affordable ot of season??? I’m a newbie to the bridal wear world! Ideas???

I wouldn’t worry to much about the “seasons.” Just try on dresses (within your budget!) until you find one that you LOVE! (and then do NOT even LOOK at a single other dress!!!!)
A year sounds about perfect to start looking. I’ve heard of some girls whose dresses took almost a year to come in! (rare, but possible.)

I agree, I would start looking now. They dont usually discount on previous season dresses unless they are a few years old. You can start trying on styles to see what looks best on you, and always wait and see what comes out next season too.

I would start dress shopping now. We got engaged on Christmas last year, I ordered my dress three weeks later in January. It came in last month in July, and we’re not getting married until next June!
But I do have to second @red_rose: and after you order DO NOT LOOK ANYMORE!!!!!

why wait for a certain season? i don’t actually understand the ‘seasons’ thing. what makes one season better than another one? are newer ones really all that great?
just look now… and if you don’t find one, keep looking later.
