I know I've read thousands of posts about where to shop for weddng dresses in NYC, but I'm drawing a blank! I've already been to RK Bridal & the Bridal Garden. My mom is coming in to town this weekend and I have an appointment on Sunday at Kleinfelds... anywhere else we should look?
Bridal Atelier by Mark Ingram has amazing service but they only carry a select number of designers so I would check out the website first just to make sure they have something you'll be interested in.
There's also Ally Bridal in Hoboken but I believe she only carries her designs. Don't quote me on that though...
I would HIGLY recommend Mark Ingram's Bridal Atelier (http://www.bridalatelier.com/) no matter what. This was one of the first places I went and everything else paled in camparison to the feeling, experience, attention etc. that I got here.
It's by appointment only, so call first and ask for Anju. She is a doll and was so honest and helpful. I was working with a budget (like most brides) and when it came time for the veil, she had me try on one she thougth would be perfect, told me it was $250, explained exactly what it was "elbow lenght two tier etc..." and that I could easily get something very similar elsewhere for much less money. She wanted me to be happy and that was her top priority. A+ all the way around.
Also loved my dress designer, Mika Inatome! She's this little japanese woman whose a ball of fire! Her studio is a loft in Tribeca. All the embroidary is done by hand and she is a perfectionist when it comes to alterations.
I was on a budget as well, so I bought a dress during her sample sale and received 50% off plus free alterations (and yes, even though she wasn't making any extra money, she made my mermaid shaped dress, fit like a glove!)
