@laurelewrigley:  Do you have a timeframe planned to stop nursing?  Depending on when you do, would it be an idea to maybe delay gown shopping for a while?  It’s just that your body will look so very different in the gown down the road and having a different body than your used to might make it hard to picture how you’ll look.

You will be fine. I am your size (with a much smaller chest) and all of the dresses were huge on me. Just tell your attendant when you order a dress to take you down a size in the measurements and keep in mind when you are trying on that you might not fill out the dress like you do now. As long as you are done nursing by fitting time it’ll be good.

@laurelewrigley:  You won’t have any problems finding a dress that fits in the bust area.  I’m 5’3″ 112 lbs and wear a size 32 DD bra.  I even measured right at a size 4 dress in the bust and waist (size smaller in the hips) so there won’t need to be any additional alterations to the cup size.  The sample dresses are all so big there won’t be ANY problem getting those puppies in there!  Have fun dress shopping, it’s a blast!

I’m 5’7″, 130 pounds and a DDD…All the dresses fit great because they were big enough to fit my chest but way too big for my body so they just clamped me in. Didn’t have any trouble at all (that’s kind of a first for me when it comes to tyring on clothes…lol) I did have to order an 8 to fit the chest adn my alterations lady will probabaly be doing a lot of work on the rest of the dress….I would say for you trying on shuld not be a problem, but deciding what size to order could be a little tricky. I’m sure the folks at the shop can help you out though.

I’m still nursing and just bought my dress 🙂

It won’t be an issue at all. Plus by the time you have your wedding next year, even if you’re still nursing, your breasts wont get so full of milk as they do now.

@laurelewrigley:  I did wear a strapless.  One I got from David’s Bridal before being a bridesmaid in a friends wedding.  I recently got an amazing strapless bra from Nordstrom though.  If you’re having trouble finding your size I HIGHLY suggest checking there!  I never knew they had such a plethora of sizes.  I believe I even saw a 30 G there.  Crazy.

YES YES YES! I was breast feeding when I bought mine, I just let the lady know and I got a dress that the top could be altered. I love my dress I kind of overflow in the boobs though but when I’m done breastfeeding I will get it altered. I’m 5″ about 120lbs I was a tripple D or DD bra before breast feeding depending on what bra etc. They do not make bra’s that fit me now omg! Here is my dress
