My dress came in a couple of weeks ago and I loved it just as much as I did when I purchase it. However there is a problem! I am very small up top and my dress is even larger than the sample was up top. Which makes no sense to me bacause mine is a size smaller than the sample was. I know that the tops can be altered, and mine will definitely need to be tightened and also shortened but at least an inch!
The problem is there is beading on my dress and some flowers. There is one flower right at the top of the dress and I am afraid that this is going to be an issue with altering the top. I love the flowers and sparkle and there isn’t that much on it so I don’t want to lose any of it!
They wouldn’t answer any questions for me until my fitting in June! So I am a little nervous- I love the dress but I’m afraid I should have had this figured out before I purchased it.
Has anyone else had this problem?? Or have any knowledge or ideas??
I’ve attached a few pictures 🙂

So, I think you are saying you need the bust to be taken in and then the sweetheart hemmed down a bit? I see why you are worried. I wouldn’t worry about the strap-the way it looks to me is the it can be undone and then redone pretty easily once the bust is done. Taking it in also doesn’t look to scary-don’t think you will lose anything. But if you are hemming down the sweetheart that might get tricky. I would like to say that I don’t think it’s bad where it is (unless it rubs you uncomfortably), but taking it down a smidge would be fine. I think that if you find a good seamstress to do this part there will be a good solution, though you may unfortunately lose a smidge of those embellishments. Don’t panic-it will still look stunning and I think that there is plenty of other flower work and beading going on for the whole dress-it won’t really take away from it. Wish I had more advice.

Thank-you for you input!!
The strap is actually a removable, snap strap so I’m not too worried about that part!
It’s the hemming! You can’t tell how high it really is in the picture, it looks just silly in person. I feel that way at least! Hopefully the seamstress can work her magic!! Haha…
Thanks again!!! 🙂
