gillyh :  Thanks!

I do so agree with PPs, it’s not a hard and fast rule for us short girls. Your proportions play a huge role and your personal style too.

Completely agree with PPs. I’m 4’11 and this is my Sophia Tolli.

I went with what felt right for my body and what I felt amazing in.

I’m a 5’2″ pear and went with this beaut (with the platform, it’s hard to tell how short I really am in this pic). I tried on a few mermaids/trumpets/sheaths but with my 34 As up top and my junk in the trunk, it just wasn’t a good look lol

haileyblue :  Thank you! And my face was super derpy in the photo, so I decided to use my derpy dog’s face instead 🙂

I am 5’2″ and wore a sheath by Maggie Sottero. So light and comfortable!

I vote #2. I like that the best from the pics. I am short and went with a drop waist and v neck line. I always thought I would wear a strapless gown.

haileyblue :

Not the right look !!! Goodness me girl , you  look so amazing in that beautiful dress , the idea of ‘right look ‘ simply  does not  apply . One of the best looks on the  bee imo!!

Of the first few  you posted, I like the first a lot –  the others were nice too .

As has been said, its all about proportions and body type really , not so  much height . For instance if  you are an hourglass  , a mermaid is usually wonderful ,regardless of size or height. That’s why you liked  pp kellyk’s  look so much I think.

A long waisted shape and shorter legs often get ‘cut off’ by mermaids and they don’t flatter a wider waisted type (like myself) either .  And I’ve seen some short bees in big ballgowns look perfectly wonderful on the bee too, and that’s often not considered a good shape  for short girls.
