Bumping this post! Curious myself if this is a rip-off site or the real deal…

I emailed dress times and asked them to send me a picture of their replica of the casablanca 1900 (which is the dress I want) and this is what they sent me.  I think it’s a pretty fair replica.  I’m seriously considering ordering my dress from them… for $275, I really can’t help but be tempted!

I am going through a terrible experience With Dress Times right now! Ordered a replica of the Vera Wang Diana dress and what was sent looks *nothing* like the picture. On their website it says that they have a return policy within 7 days, but they will not release information on how to send it back. They just suggested I take the dress to a tailor to make it look more like the dress I wanted!

If you want a replica dress (and that’s OK, go for it!), stay within the U.S. There are designers on Etsy.com that can hook it up. It might cost a little bit more (like $100-200) but you’ll be dealing with the same country/time zone and foilows basic laws of operating a business.

Hmm…I was searching reviews about this place as well.  It’s strange to me that the post by “Cindy Lin” is the EXACT same post I found at the Dress Times web site.  So I decided to google the entire post and found it….word for word in four other links.  I wouldn’t trust any company who feels the need to post good comments about themselves.

Here are the other sites I found with the same quote:

@septemberbride2012: Yeah, they spam here all the time, but we just keep deleting their reviews.  You would think they would get it after a while, but nope.  They just keep copying and pasting fake reviews.

I would not purchase a dress from a company that #1: CANNOT speak English and #2: Resorts to posting positive reviews from HUNDREDS of fake names on every bridal website out there.

@peasantsong:I am very familar with Casabalnca 1900, it is a best seller in my Bridal salon. The image you posted although some what “similar” does not really look enough like the oringinal dress to invest any amount of money into it. Here are the major diffrences, the true 1900 is an “empire” waist which makes for a really beautiful fit and shows off the smallest part of any woman’s waist line. The lace on the Casablanca gown is what makes it so beautiful and the lace on this replica is obviously “cheap”. You would be better off trying to find a “sample sale” of the 1900. I know we have one in our shop that is on sale for like $500 and it is the real deal!

@peasantsong: This was my second fav dress that I tried on (very different from what I ended up getting, but it’s so pretty!). I tried the champagne, but I would’ve wanted them make it into a sweetheart neckline and then change up the block of lace toward the bottom of the dress, but then I got anxious about how the custom work would turn out.

I would personally be scared of those ‘knock-off’ sites. You may end up spending that $275 plus the additional cost of the designer dress if the ‘knock-off’ doesn’t work.

Save yourself the trouble of going through the insane ordeal I am going through ladies. Despite what I had read I ordered one of my bridesmaid dresses from this site. I planned to order 8 of them but I wanted to make sure the dress was okay before ordering for all my maids. I am glad I did because what I got was a huge mess. I figured the simple black replica of Alfred Angelo 7109 would be fine, boy was I wrong. And now after 11 emails all they are offering me is 30.00 I paid 120.00

Instead of going on about the incompetence of whoever I am dealing with I will post pictures of the dress that is glued together (yes fabric glued) and already falling apart. Did I mention it came with hair all over it like it had previously been a dog bed and smelled like cigarettes?

Do not order anything from this website. I ordered a dress for my daughter’s wedding. It was defective in that there was something wrong with the zipper. I had to find another dress at the very last minute. When I contacted the company to ask about a refund, they refused to honor their 100% guarantee. The dress was $150 and all they offered to do was refund me $10.

BUYER BEWARE!!!

Update:  six months after the wedding and I still have not received a refund for the dress I was never able to wear for my daughter’s wedding.

DO NOT, NOT, NOT ORDER FROM DRESSTIMES!!!

I did not have a good experience with Dress Times. I have attached photos of the original design and then what I actually received. I sent in my exact measurements and when I received the gown, it did not fit at all. There was visible stiching all along the front pleating of the dress. The torso was far too long and the flowers were so low that you could barely see them. The flowers were also much ‘cheaper’ looking than the original design; the multi-size pearls and beading were replicated with cheap clear ‘crafty’ plastic beads. We paid a total of $362. When we asked to return it, they offered $100 for us to try to get it fixed ourselves, or $155 is we returned the gown (but we would have to pay for the return shipping). To say the least, it wasted a lot of valuable time and money. When you’re on a budget, every penny counts, and this was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend that anyone take a chance with this company.

@femducky9:

They did a horrible job and poor customer service. Its a shame you had to go through such a thing for your wedding day.
