Hello fellow bees,
A matter of weeks after getting engaged, I bought a lovely dress at a sample sale for a fraction of my budget. I originally wanted a low back, lace fishtale in an off-white/ivory. Turns out (kind of predictably) that being not very girly, I looked nice until I walked and that was a huge no-no. I ended up torn between two dresses: one was a strapless A-line satin dress with a corset top and a Grecian style Mori Lee dress with beaded straps and a sweetheart neckline.
i went for the A line on the grounds that it was more bridal and it is lovely. But, since then I’ve been having dress-doubt. I want to look quite bohemian and relaxed, ideally without heels. I’ve seen loads of images on Pinterest where people with a dress like mine have achieved this look. Logically, I know I don’t need to worry but I’m still nervous about looking like a bride in a proper dress who’s not quite put together rather than a deliberately laid-back look.
After general advice about what to do as I don’t think I’m the kind of woman to get the ‘yes to the dress’ moment. Argh. Thanks in advance.
