This is Maggie Sottero Ascher – I was totally in love but after leaving the salon I started to question the colour…I also decided I wanted a train…cos I mean…when else do you get to wear a train! Anyway 3 weeks later I made an appointment to retry it…but in the morning of that day…I found the one that gave me shivers somewhere else!

This Vera Wang dress….and it was a disaster LOL..I looked like a huge white wedding cake in it …and could barely move and walk..that’s how heavy it was..

I ultimately decided to go with a tea length dress because our wedding is completely outdoors and I was afraid that top layer of lace/tulle would end up destroyed.

Alfred Angelo Sleeping Beauty – it was gorgeous dress and made me fall in love with the ballgown silhouette. Sadly, it was only available in white or ivory and couldn’t be dyed

At my first appointment I saw the girl ahead of me try this on. She looked incredible in it (and obviously bought it) so I was excited to try it on. What a flop, lol. I couldn’t wait to get out of it, it looked so bad on me. Never again did I attempt another drapey silk style!

I ended up buying it! Not that day, I visited about 5 other salons and tried on 30 dresses but I made an appointment to come back with all my family and bought it.

I don’t even remember the first dress I tried on. I found mine about a third of the way through.

@BrandNewBride:  That dress looked so good on you! But your actual wedding dress was pretty epic 😉

My first dress I tried on was the Cinderella dress from Alfred Angelo. I choose a different dress but this was a very close runner up!!!

This was the first dress I tried on. This was a very close 2nd though I did stick with the same designer.

This is Casablanca 1832

This was the first dress that I tried

While it was a pretty dress and exactly what I thought I wanted, I felt like it made me look really young and was a lot of dress to deal with.

This is what I ended up getting
