I am in the same situation, and I ended up with Alfred Angelo for four reasons – readily available for purchase online, carried by lots of different bridal stores all over the states and Canada for try ons, lots of different styles for the chiffon fabric I wanted (am doing mismatched dresses with the same color and fabric), and the cost was reasonable- their cheapest dress was at $79 online so definitely made my bridesmaids happy.

Hope this helps!

I’m putting my maids in Bari Jay. They are ordering their dresses through netbride.com but there are locations near each of them so they can try on samples to decide which dress they want (out of a dozen options I narrowed it down to).

I was in the same situation. My girls are wearing Bari Jay. Their dresses are carried by many bridal salons nationwide. Honestly though, I went to a local bridal salon and tried on tons of dresses myself. I took pictures of the ones I liked them emailed them to my girls. They were able to pick from those. Luckily, they all liked the same one but I was going to go with majority vote. I found it much easier than all the girls going shopping on their own. You know what the vision of your wedding is, they dont. Good luck!

Rather than having them all order from different locations of the same store, why not choose a designer that is sold in many stores, have each girl go to whatever dress shop sells it to try on, then have them all order from the same store. They don’t need to all go into the same dress shop to order, they can call or choose a place with online ordering. This way, you ensure that all the dress orders are placed at the same time, come from the samy dye lot and will all arrive at the same time.

I am having my girls order bridesmaid dresses from the website WeddingtonWay. The customer service is pretty awesome and they are really helpful with getting measurements and making sure they are accurate. They have a wide variety of dresses and you can always go with dresses that are of the same color and different styles or in a similar color palette. Good luck. 🙂

I had 6 bridesmaids in 4 states and had success with Alfred Sung dresses. They were all able to find a store with the dresses to try on and they were ordered through the local store here.

The dresses I am having my girls order are Alfred Sung dresses. Where do they sell them? I have one in CA, 2 here in Northern VA, and 2 from NY.

I went with Alfred Angelo since none of my girls are in the same state. I really liked their dresses better than David’s and everyone either had a signature store or at least one salon locally that carried them. Depending on where your girls are they might be able to get to an AA signature store without too much trouble if you were concerned about them being able to try on most of the styles.

As another bee mentioned, there are a lot of other designers that are carried in a lot of bridal salons so those are good options as well. When I was looking I just plugged each girl’s location into the designer’s website to check local availability. Good luck!

@lovelylight99:  There’s a store finder on the dessy website. You might have to call around to make sure they sell the Alfred Sung line but it will at least get you started

Just choose a dress at a store near you and have them call in their sizes. It’s really the easiest option.

I’m considering those converitible dresses. It’s more or less one size and easy to ship!
