If you buy from Dressilyme you can order the dress to your measurements, so it doesn’t matter how tall you are, they will cut and sew it to fit you.

I don’t have my dress yet, expecting it to arrive later this month.

@sue sue:  Have you search other threads on dressilyme.  I think they have made a dress like that one before.

I had a dress made by them, so they are certainly not a scam.  They have some wedding jackets on the site, but they have no “boleros” listed, at least, not the kind I think you are thinking of.  You would have to ask them to design something special for you, and they may or may not be able to.  Email them to find out.

@sue sue:  It really depends on what look you’re going for. Lace would probably clash. I would go with chiffon with that dress (I assume the ruffles are chiffon?), but you might be able to get something made in the same fabric as the bodice. I think you should avoid anything with too much texture as it would take away from the skirt and waist.

@sue sue:  The original dress appears to have been made in organza and they have used orgnaza in the replica. Have you tried on the original?  You can ask them to send you a sample piece of fabric so you can see the quality.

Here’s mine. They did a great job! As a matter of fact, yesterday was my alteration appt (I had Dressilyme make it to my measurements) and my seamstress said the quality was so impressive, she had me give her their information for other brides who ask. Anyway, I have her tweaking it (the fit to my body) for me.

Edited- Oh, lol.. I just read the rest of the thread and saw talk about it already. Well, I did try on the original and the material is similar (then again, I’m not anal-picky, so close is fine).. They used satin underneath and satin organza on the outside. I’m short as well, so any more ruffles and I’ll look like I’m waiting for a good wind to come and take me away, ha.

You can always ask them to add more I guess. There’s also two layers of crinny underneath. After trying it on yesterday, I decided that if I added more crinny to it, it would be too much and the dress would be wearing me, which is what I didn’t want! I was SO happy.

Of course, YMMV since this is all about how we feel… Good luck!
