I too did a lot of research before taking the plunge and ordering online from Dressilyme. But all went well!  I exchanged numerous emails back and forth with their presales dept. Make sure you are clear about any custom changes you want and include pictures if you can. They can pretty much do anything. Some changes will have a few, others will not. For example to add a sweetheart neck line to my strapless dress was $15 ($150 from my bridal store), custom sizing was reasonable (cannot recall exactly) but I thought it was well worth the gamble to pay a little extra rather than order the standard size and pay someone hundreds of dollars in alteration fees. I also paid extra to have embellishments of lace and beading added to the waist line. All said and done it was $260 for a dress that had a base price locally for $1800. (With tax, shipping, change fees I would have paid well over $2200).  Changing to floor length instead of a train was no charge. And my particular dress offered free shipping.

I was impressed with their customer service and super fast shipping. I literally received my dress on DHL from china to AZ in 30 hours! They followed my custom changes exactly and used a nice quality satin and lining.

I wish you luck and encourage you to keep an eye on the price of the dress you chose (which is beautiful) because I did notice several of the dresses I was considering and had on my wish list did actually fluctuate in price. Some went down $100 and others went up.

I did them myself (FI measured me, you should not literally measure yourself for accuracy reasons) but then started worrying myself about whether we did it correctly so I went and had an alteration shop measure me. I feel that was a waste of $20 because we both got the same numbers. Their website gives you details about measuring, just carefully follow those and you should be fine.

I agree on the expense part!  I actually felt bad spending the $260 but know it’s really hard to get a wedding dress for much cheaper.  If you would like to see photos of my dress, let me know.

These are a quick try on, straight out of the shipping bag. So excuse the wrinkles. It’s also not laced as tight as it could be in the back.

LCross2B:  I ordered from Dressilyme in Jan for my wedding next month. I was very pleased!! Here is a pic of the dress from the website then one of me in it. (Excuse the wrinkles as well) I customed ordered mine too.

With tax, shipping, and custom measurements (the color change to the sash and flowers were free) my dress was $275!!! Keep checking the website, they discount more at different times. (after I ordered the dress the price went up, then later back down) I received the dress in 20 days!! Good luck

LCross2B:  good luck getting pics. I asked several times with no luck. (It was right before the Chinese New Year) and they were too busy. From what I’ve heard you have to keep asking til they send pics! Lol

purrrbaby:  I never got any pics but I have read other blogs on here where some girls did receive some and were able to change things mid production.

LCross2B:  Thank you!! I’m so excited that it turned out as good as they did. I went to Davids Bridal and tried on dresses but I wasn’t impressed in the dresses or prices. So I took a gamble and the dress is SO lightweight! No alterations needed. Just need to add a bustle. I’m going to DIY it!

LCross2B:  I didn’t like how heavy and restricting their dresses are.
