Hey fellow bees,
After stalking this website and reading everyone’s reviews of Dressilyme, I decided to order a custom made gown from Dressilyme.com.
My sales person was Paris, and she was very helpful throughout the entire process. I asked a million questions, and she very politely answered each one of them, within a day, considering the time difference. Because my gown was custom and had never been made by the seamstresses before, she advised that the dress wouldn’t look exactly like the provided pictures, but I felt confident that they would still create a nice gown.
I ordered my gown on June 13, 2013, and it began processing on June 16, 2013. A storm woke me up this morning (July 4, 2013) so of course I checked my phone, and there was a message from Dressilyme. My dress is complete!!!
I’m attaching pictures of the gown, so tell me what you all think. I ordered the gown in Iced Apricot because looking at the swatch, it seemed the closest to blush, but now that I’m looking at this dress, it might be too bright.
Here’s the inspiration for my gown:
I wanted the top of the Lazaro gown, and the hemline of the Jim Hjelm gown
And these are the pictures they sent of my completed gown:
I’m asking them to add more flowers to the back and add more “fluff” to the train, but other than that, I’m satisified with this dress. Hope this helps someone!

It looks like they got the design you were hoping for, but the dress doesn’t read blush.

@Cory_loves_this_girl: Yeah, same thing I said… Do you think it’ll be too bright?? I’m hoping it’s just the color in the pictures (plllleeeeeaaassssseeeee let it just be the pictures)

Gorgeous! I agree it’s a bit darker than the original but still very pretty! The coloring in that last picture looks pretty close to blush.

Wow they did a great job. Hopefully yet isn’t as a right as the pictures

@MsQuana: I think that if you had your heart set on blush, it will probably look too bright to you =

@MsQuana: it looks well made but that color is very bright and definitely not blush. And it looks sort of ombré- darker towards the bottom?

I just noticed that the reds and blues in the backgrounds of the pictures look very bright as well. Maybe the color will be softer in person?

@MsQuana: are you happy with how the pleats turned out on the bodice? I think they could do them a bit neater IMO

I think it looks gorgeous! All the colors in those pictures look really bright so perhaps the dress is also brightenend.

Having seen this gown in person those pictures do not look like the original Lazaro. They used organza when the gown bottom is tulle. The color is very soft in person like a pale sherbert. When I did see it, it was not worth the 4000 price tag. I am sure your original will be a much better deal.

I’m happy you are pleased with the dress (colour aside). My mom is ordering her MOB dress from them in a week, and we are working with Paris too, so I’m happy it turned out nicely. My mom will be using gold material, so I hope it it turns out as nicely as yours. We are in a simialr situation as they haven’t made a dress like hers befoe, so if it’s not exactly the same I won’t mind. I just want her to look beautiful in it. Thanks for sharing!

very pretty dress, but it looks very peachy and not blush like the PP’s said.
