Hi everybody, so dressily me sent me pictures. I ordered a Lazaro 3050 replica. The skirt looks a little funny to me but im not sure how to tell them/ what to tell them to fix.Any help would be great. I am already thinking about asking for more organza to be put in with the taffeta.
Here is the back/side of a lazaro 3050 for comparison

There’s something going on with the first tier on the left side. Pics of the original would be helpful.

I agree that it looks off, but by how the organza is falling, could it be just because it needs a skirt under it? All it looks like to me is that it needs amermaid crini.
maybe ask them if they could send a picture with a slip under it?

i think it looks good, and very close to the lazaro. You do need to remember that they make a replica, it is not going to be exact.
The only thing that throws me is the first row of ruffles, I think it is too straight, maybe they can make it blend in more somehow/

@mamadingdong: I agree, something with that first ruffle looks askew.

the first tier of the skirt ruffle is just really blunt (and symmetrical) I guess is the best way to describe it. You need a smoother transition from the bodice to the skirt.

It looks like maybe they need to shorten the first layer and add more layers of the shorten length? The lazaro’s first bit of layers are very short and much fuller. I think you could use a skirt underneath to give the rest of it the fuller effect

I’m sorry but I do not think they did a very good job. There have been others who replicated this dress so it can be done. The skirt in the lazaro has alternating/layering organza and satin tiers throughout. It is no where near as full either. They need to add more shorter layers in the top as well.

I have no idea how I’m going to try to explain this because I’m terrible with fabrics, but here goes. To me it looks like the ruffles are two different fabrics: kind of a sheer crinkly kind one and a more opaque, smooth one. On the lazaro it looks like they are distributed kind of randomly, whereas on your replica it looks to me like there are two distinct sections of a the smoother, opaque ruffles – on the top left of the skirt and on the bottom right. I may also be imagining things, but that’s my impression.

Looking at the front, the right side is much fluffier than the left side. THere needs to be smaller layers at the top, getting bigger as you go down.

heres what i am planning on sending them…

To me, the skirt needs to be fuller and have more ruffles to begin with, and the top tier needs to be shorter and it just seems “too neat”.

I also agree with seabunny. Hope they get you sorted!
