Planning a courthouse wedding I’ve narrowed it down to two dresses. Since they’re short and on the simpleish side I’m confused on how to dress my groom. I like the idea of romantic colors like pink, peach, champagne, and grey. Also, it’s going to be late May in Galveston, TX and after the ceremony hoping to go to the beach or a park for photos and for dinner somewhere not too formal. I love the thought of him in grey pants but he prefers navy and will not wear khaki. He also has a dark navy tux but is that too formal? Does he wear a tie or a boutonnière? Thank you!
Here are the dress choices and for the bouquet I was thinking pink flowers
^LOVE this dress but 10% chance of it fitting..

My instinct is that you should let him go with the dark navy tux! It is a little on the formal side for what you have planned, but you are the bride and he is the groom! I think he’ll look just stellar and it will be totally fun!

i’d be ok with him wearing navy if he prefers it. but (it’s probably just me) i haaaate short sleeved dress shirts. i think they look nerdy haha. i know it’ll be hot in texas, but i’d ask him to roll up the sleeves if he gets too warm. so i didn’t vote in the poll.
both of those dresses are lovely, btw! best of luck!

I don’t like short sleeved dress shirts. I think they look dorky.
I’d go with gray pants (navy if he insists). Maybe you can get him in a vest?

I like the idea of the navy tux. It will look really sharp.

I think he’ll be overdressed in a tux because of the casualness of your dress. I’d go with navy pants, long sleeved dress shirt, and a tie. No short sleeved dress shirts!
