So I bought my dress online and now I need a veil/headpiece(Im not sure which one I want yet and feel I need to see them with my dress), problem is, how do you pick a veil/headpiece when you cant see it with the dress. I certaintly dont expect a salon to let me bring my dress in with me and wear it to try on veils/headpieces, but I dont want to pick something that doesnt go with my dress….any suggestions?

@LauraRose: Wear your dress into the store! Haha…just kidding. Could you phone the store and ask if it is okay to bring your dress?

could you take a picture of the dress and then take closer picutres of the beading or details (if there is any) to make sure you can match it with that? just an idea! 🙂

I bought my dress at a store going out of business and it was cash and carry right before it shut for the day – I didn’t even get it over my head, never mind to try things on with it!
I went to a local fabric store and bought some tulle in various colours (my dress is ivory) to bring home and try to match and then wave around my head to see what worked. I actually went so far as to say, screw it, I can do this – got Fiance (without the dress on) to chop some at the length I liked and sewed a ribbon on myself. It’s all finished now.
You don’t have to go that far, but bringing the couple of yards of a few types home let me play around with deciding what I liked and colour mathing – if I hadn’t made my own I’d still have chopped it to the length I like, and brought it around to stores to get a good match. The tulle is only a couple of $$ if that for a few yards.
