Hi...I'm using bunched dried wheat as centerpieces for my wedding and I'm not sure on a couple of things....Can anyone help??

Does anyone know approx how many stalks of wheat are in a 8 oz bunch of wheat at 28-30" high??? I've tried researching on the internet and I keep reading different answers. I've read they range from 40-60...75-100....

I want to make sure I purchase the correct amount of bunches.

    Thanks!

Hi! I am doing the same thing and I am bit confused myself ;-)

It looks like 16oz is 80-120 stems and looks like like this. Looks big enough for one or possibly two bouquets.  This online store sells each bundle for $14.99. There's a bulk discount if you need more than 12. Could be a saver if you are using them for decoration as well.

Are you carring the wheat as well? What are you tying it with? I am looking for bunches of basil (green) wheat.

Hi thanks for your response. I actually just bought some today. I did visit the website you posted, but I ended up purchasing them from this website:

    http://www.driedflowersrus.com/dried-wheat-p-73.html

It seems like they were a bit cheaper. They sell them by 24 oz at $13.99. The website says every 24 oz should have anywhere from 225-300 stalks....I still have no idea how many stalks are actually in each oz, but I just rounded down and assumed I would end up getting 225 per $13.99(24oz).

I also used this website for instructions on how to make the centerpieces:

I'm not sure what I'll be carrying yet, but I'm leaning towards dried wheat, if I have any left. I am wrapping the dried wheat with ribbon. I have seen them placed in vases, but I opting for the cheaper option of just using ribbon.

I'm using dried wheat as well.  I've been purchasing it at either Hobby Lobby or Michael's as needed. (I think one bunch probably comes with 30-40 stems).  For one of the centerpieces, I used a vase with floral foam on the inside to arrange the wheat as I wanted.  I used potpourri around the foam to cover it up.

For all those fall brides who might be doing wheat centerpieces, I just came across this site and it looks like they have the cheapest prices for dried wheat if you buy the 5lb case or bulk bundles.
