Our rehearsal dinner venue suggested doing drink tickets at our rehearsal dinner, giving 2 per person over 21. We are wondering if this makes sense for our event.
It’s a seated dinner but a casual to semi-formal setting and food. It’s our wedding party and dates, immediate family, and grandparents, with about 35 of us.
Should we send drink tickets with the invitation or hand them to people when they walk in the door? I’m worried some folks might forget theirs at home.

A friend of mine did this at her rehersal. They handed them out when you came in through the door. It really kept the drinking down so no one was hung over the next day.

nawella: I wouldn’t send them with the invitation or else guests would probably forget them. If you are doing favours you could put them with that or place them at each person’s place setting (if the room is open before your dinner).

HisIrishPrincess: laceydoilies: Great ideas! Thanks! I am thinking about putting them at guests seats since we are going to have placecards and all anyways. Awesome!
