We have both decided not to drink for the wedding day....may have a glass of champagne in the limo, but nothing else. We just went to a wedding where the bride and groom got SMASHED and acted really foolish. So much money and time is being spent planning this day, we want to be able to enjoy and remember it!
Well, I totally got drunk at my wedding. I didn't mean to, but I do like to drink and dance, and I didn't really have anything to eat aside from 1/2 a sandwich at lunch. I had the best intentions, but the whole thing was such a blur (unrelated to alcohol) that there wasn't a moment that I was thinking about anything, including how much I was drinking. I just felt like I was being swept around like a whirlwind. I didn't embarass myself, and I wasn't drunk enough to be hungover the next morning, but I was definitely drunk and people noticed. No one busted my chops about it, but they noticed. Jeez, am I the only one? Everyone sounds so controlled and responsible on this thread!
I should say that the next morning I didn't wake up and think, "Oh, no!" It wasn't til I saw some of the dancing pictures and some people being all wink-wink with me that i realized I got drunk. Eh, whatever. It was an awesome night!!!
