Gin would also be a good addition, especially if you're doing martinis. I think beer, wine, champagne, vodka, gin and rum pretty much cover it. I guess some people like whiskey and soda.
I would suggest picking out your two signature drinks and then include one or two other types of liquor that aren't included in your signatures because then there will be a good variety for your guests!
I'm a gin girl myself, though our friend bartenders said that people don't drink too much gin these days. We went through two handles of it at the wedding... though we went through way more vodka!

Our venue does not have an open bar price - mainly because we are having less than 20 people. They have said that we can select the types of alchohol that we serve or the specific drinks. There is the obvious vodka, wine and beer. Champagne for toasting. Maybe some whiskey. Anything else?
I am also thinking about having 2 signature drinks. One for me and one for him. He will want to serve martini's but I am not sure what mine will be...
