For our outdoor “cocktail” hour, we had lavender lemonade and watermelon fresco.

Agua Fresca is always popular. You can also do Italian/French sodas. Several Bees are doing that. You can also take alcoholic drinks and just eliminate the alcohol. For example, we did a mojito but left out the rum and called it a “spritzer”. I think you can also do this with a lava flow or a pina colada.

@FoolsintheRain:  If you don’t mind having people do a little work, you can set out bottles of carbonated water for the Italian sodas and have a few syrups available. I have the syrups with pumps at home and they’re not messy. You can err on the side of lighter-colored syrups.

One bee recently said she was doing a make your own Italian soda bar and I think that sounds amazing!! I think your ideas were good too. You could also maybe do fresh juice, like watermelon, etc, things people won’t expect.

We are doing a “coffee & donut” hour before our brunch reception because our ceremony starts at 10:15am (I know weird time haha.)
