a drop veil is simply dropped on your head with no comb, it is usually attached by a hat pin, here are some examples.

here's a tutorial
http://www.veilshop.com/Drop-Veils_df_41.html
i like 'em!! bit if I need a tutorial - yikes!!
Bet I'd fall or something too, maybe going shorter in front for the blusher (using the new word I learned today in a sentence!) would be better. I'm clutzy!!Thank you for the photos!!
i really like the fingertip ones, they are not terribly long but they are enough to create the romantic bridal effect. the tutorial was just to explain how they go in your hair, etc. i found it really cool and informative (but i'm a dork like that) lol!!!
I just check out the tutorial - its not as intimidating as I thought! I defintely think I want a cathedral length. I'm contemplating different styles but I do love the drop veil!!
i love it as well as the bubble veil (but my beau thinks they are ugly *insert rolling of the eyes*). what does your dress look like?
i love bubble veils too but not for me I don't think - don't listen to him men don't know what they like!
this is my dress - don't have the flower though and i'm debating whether or not to add a flower or brooch

oh Gawd yes!! the drop veil would look magnificent. i am pretty sure that i will wear a drop veil during the ceremony and a cage veil during the reception, we'll both win :D i think your dress would be phenomenal with a brooch. it reminds me of one that i am just falling in love with from jcpenny's (i'm cheap and an acessories wh.re) i am pretty sure my shoes and accessories may be more than my dress. i'm plus sized and concerned about my boobs though.... but hey we'll see lol...
wow that is from jc penney? that's beautiful! i love halters!
I like the idea of changing up your veil too!
Drop veils are gorgeous! Originally, that's definitely the type I wanted...and I still love them even though I chose another style. :)
I'm wearing a chapel length drop veil, so I was wondering what the tutorial was all about... my drop veil has a comb sewn into it with a clear/fishwire like thread. If you don't want the poofiness of a veil that's gathered at the comb, a drop veil is a great way to go!
I would just like to say that I am OBSESSED with drop veils! It seems like few people have heard of them or know about them though? I wanted to try one on at a bridal shop and they were like "huh?"
Second time thats happened too.

I keep seeing pics I like and the veils are described as drop veils. What is this? I think I want cathedral length and I thought that was enough but now - what else to I need to ask about?
