Today I’m 34 weeks and 2 days. Twice today women I work with (one of whom used to be a labor & delivery nurse) have said that I look like I’ve dropped. As far as I’m concerned, other than a little extra sciatic pain, I don’t feel any differently.
I have a few questions:
— For moms who have dropped, did you feel any differently?
— How soon after you dropped did you deliver?
I have an OB visit tomorrow, so I can ask them about it, too.

I never dropped. I thought I was going to be pregnant forever, and then my water broke 10 days before my due date!

Gosh, I remember the waddling and the heaviness and it has been a long time ago. For me, it literally felt like he went from sitting on the hip area to putting all the weight right smack dab inbetween the legs region, hard and HEAVY.

@eurekaanchovies: I dropped a little bit starting at 34 weeks. I didn’t feel any different but I could tell that my belly looked lower and my clothes fit differently. I dropped a little more around 36 weeks. That’s when I had to pee a little more often and I would have some pressure on my cervix when baby would stretch. Now, I am 38 weeks and have dropped even more! I don’t think I could possible drop anymore but, in my case, it happened a little at a time like that. I still don’t feel drastically different like I thought I would. You can look at my belly and see how low it is but, for me, it doesnt feel much different.

I’m 37+ weeks and I feel like this boy is still riding high…no dropping going on here.

@Mrs. Menard to Be :
That’s exactly how I feel, I can feel pressure on my cervix but not a ton and I can totally feel it when she stretches OUCH! But I don’t look really different, maybe it was just the change from laying transverse to head down?

37wks- Baby is super low, so low they had to go lower for an extra growth ultrasound. I think I dropped about 35wks.

I think I dropped a few days ago. I don’t feel any pressure further down, but my stomach is definately lower than what it was.

I never looked like I dropped, but at my 36 week apt. the ultrasound tech and doctor both said I did. I didn’t deliver until 40 weeks. I could tell physically that she dropped, mostly b/c I could breath again! She was no longer on my lungs, and life was so much better and more comfortable. Also, I had to pee even more often than before, and she was on my bladder so hard that it hurt.
