Calling on the “experts” of the hive…… a friend of mine recently said that you shouldn’t DTD after you are out of the FW and into the two week wait………as it could cause a fertilized egg not to implant…..
I had never heard this……. anyone on here want to weigh in?

meadow_jersey: I am pretty sure dtd after the FW doesn’t affect whether an embryo implants or not. I’ve never heard of this before, and I know plenty of women who seem to have intercourse and go on to have healthy pregnancies.

Never in my life have I heard that one… not sure I understand the rationale behind it.

Glad neither of you heard anything…..must be an old wives tale type thing……glad i don’t have to listen to her “advice” 😉 😉

Definitely not founded in anything scientific. Having sex (and orgasming) will not prevent implantation, just like it won’t cause miscarriage. I was a little paranoid about it, and so I did some reading and you’re totally fine to do it whenever the mood strikes. We definitely had sex during the TWW, and I still got pregnant 😛

Well, we’re definitely proof that it’s not totally reliable advice. Short version – we did it, we’re pregnant now, no harm done 😛

If this were a real issue there would be a hell of a lot less people on this planet!!
