That's awesome and made me laugh. I went to a wedding a few years ago where the bride's mom had been collecting pinecones for a year to use as ornaments on a Christmas tree at the reception. The favors were pinecone-shaped soaps, in a Chinese to-go box. Wish I had pics to share. I think the soaps are still in my bathroom cabinet somewhere though - hmmm.
I'm trying hard not to over conifer-ize my wedding. When I come down off my high, I'm going to do some editing.
But seriously, pinecone decorated Christmas tree??! Merry AWESOME!!!
I'm using pinecones as place settings, cutie cute cute!
Pinecone is my name, gathering is my game!
My whole wedding is themed in pinecones! We have been collecting for some time now and have tons! So your not crazy at all. Check out the bouquet im going to do! OH, and my guys have pinecone bouts too!
I love this post and featured pinecones on our guestbook/display table. We couldn't help it, they were *everywhere*!
We got married in the Northwoods so pinecones were a must. I had them as vase fillers on our cocktail tables, in the guys bouts, decorating the mantle at the reception and on our invitations. LOVE them!
WOW. Miss Pinecone, that is a gorgeous bouquet! I guess I never really thought of doing something like that. hm....makes me really want a winter wedding...but, then I couldn't do it outside which is way more important to me!
Keep it up on the inspiration! Everything looks great! :)
Miss Lily,
Were doing our ceremony outside. We do live in Northern California, so unless there is rain, it should be warm enough to have the ceremony outside! Im so excited, today is 1 month away!
i never thought of pinecones . . . love it.
I love the bouquet pic posted! I was actually wanted to do my bridemaid bouquets with pinecones, but my fiance hated the pic I showed him :( I thought it would be cute. Then I could use pine cones as fillers for my bouquet. And they would work perfect since our colors are pink and brown. GRRR to him.
Love love LOVE the bouquet pictures! Glad to hear that I'm not the only one totally jamming on pinecones. If anyone is using green, the "immature" ones would look rad too...texture WOOHOO!
I love the look of the 'immature' ones. I could see those as awesome Christmas tree ornaments!

Seriously. I'm on a pinecone binge right now, and I might need an intervention.
It started with bouts. Easy, classy, awesomely rad for our fall beach wedding. Check.
Then iDIY had to go and do a whole post on the 'cones. Shoot me and my overactive wedding brain.
And now, NOW, Project Wedding went and did this. You guys suck, in the best possible way.
Bouts are still in, in a big way. I love the pinecone garland, and I'm making some pinecone flowers to put in my bouquet along with these bad boys (which are all over our apartment, bee tee dubs). Can you tell I'm jamming on texture? I'm even possibly thinking pomanders with those teensy adorable little pinecones. Go ahead, tell me I'm crazy ;) And the navy and white damask? Hellllloooooooo, reception tables.
Is anybody else obsessing over pinecones, or anything else equally rad for your wedding? Throw those 'cone ideas at me too, laydeez!
