LOL I saw a site the ther day that said it was the 16th week. Hello confusion! I think my doctor said week 13 is officially the second trimester
Good to know! That was what I originally thought. And I'm glad I'm not the only one getting conflicting info. Why would you want to confuse a first time mother-to-be? It's just not nice.
My doctor said that she considers the second trimester to start at week 14 since they calculate how far along you are from your LMP. Which means, at 14 weeks, you will be 12 weeks gestation.
We felt comfortable telling people after 12 weeks, when we had the ultrasound and heard a strong heart beat.
13 Weeks :)
And it can be confusing because of LNMP (last known missed period) week 13 (how most of us count) would actually be week 11, etc

I keep getting conflicting answers depending on what I read/who I speak to. I also keep forgetting to ask my doctor, or maybe I just feel like I should know this so I don't want to ask....
When does the 2nd trimester officially start? In one book it says after the 12th week, another says the 13th and yet another says the 14th. Um, confusion.
How will I know I can tell facebook? Lol.. no seriously :oP
