It's not a dumb question
. I've been to wedding both with and without programs. Generally I've seen the names of the bridal party, a "schedule" of the ceremony (Processional, readings, exchange of vows, etc.), sometimes a word of thanks to the guests, sometimes a few lines to honor someone who's passed, sometimes a favorite quote. Have fun with it!
I am doing fans since I am having a outdoor wedding in July and it may be hot, hot, hot. What I put on it is our names, date and place. A simple thank you to everyone who helped and has been there for us or you can do a poem or saying. Then I am putting on my neice, father in law and FI neice and nephews because each of them are doing a part in the ceremony from the opening prayer, to the irish blessing to the ring bearers. I also did it more as a keepsake for everyone and myself because my wedding is so simple and not traditional and I wanted a memory of who did what . I have seen programs but always thought it was a waste, you also can list your bridal party but I never really cared to know that. If you want to do it try doing it in a unique way like the fans. I have a link if anyone is interested!
The wiki has links to quite a few examples from various bees, it might be a great place to start your search. There are also a few templates to download out on the DIY section of the boards just so a search for Program Template. Hope this helps you get started!! :)
thank you for the link. i completely forget that that feature is there.

I've been to many weddings and I have never seen a program. Correct me if I'm wrong but I have never seen it at a Mexican wedding. I would like to know what exactly what should be written on them. I would like to include them but I seriously have no idea what should be written in them or when exactly we should pass them out.
Thanks for your help.
