Along with a quite astonishing number of the world’s press who are gathered outside the hospital!

Thank goodness she waited until after a British cyclist won Tour de France, the England Cricket Team won the second Test Match and Andy Murray won Wimbledon though. Otherwise the nation might have been conflicted. Oh, and it looks like the heatwave is about to end too. So her timing is perfect!

I can’t wait to see the royal baby! I was up at 4am (in the United States) to watch the wedding.

So exciting!

So exciting!!!

I don’t understand these people waiting outside. Surely if they loved the Royals they would love them enough to give them a bit of privacy!

So exciting! I watched the Royal Wedding — and all of the pre-coverage — with FH by my side. I still can’t believe he sat through the whole thing with me!

I’m so excited for them. I love the royal couple…they are just so sweet!

I do wish there was some sort of law in place that would keep people from harassing them, hanging aorund outside their hospital, taking photos, etc. I can’t imagine having to deal with that after having a baby!

I hope all goes well for them and that labour is as easy as possible on mom & baby!

@mrs_pudding_pop:  It’s mental.

Also, I do find it really strange when I see her called Duchess Kate. Over here she’s either Kate Middleton or the Duchess of Cambridge (more usually the latter now) – usually Duchess isn’t combined with a person’s name, but the Dukedom they are from, unlike other titles in the Aristocracy.

So, Duchess of Cambridge, Duchess of Cornwall, Duke of Edinburgh, Duke of York etc.

I always wanted to be a Duchess, because they get the appellation ‘His/Her Grace’. I always thought that sounded cool.
