We invited about 185 people to our Vegas wedding. Half were from London, half from California. 116 came.

Our guest list is about 125 and we’re hoping no more than 50 will show! Wedding will be in Punta Cana, and everyone will be coming from out of town, mostly the US.

(Didn’t vote in the pole since I obviously haven’t gotten married yet )

My biggest regret is how many people we invited. I wanted a smaller destination wedding in Jamaica. We invited about 120 people because I didn’t want to cause issues with FI’s mom (she invited way too many friends of hers that I’ve never even met). I budgeted for 30 people coming to the wedding because in my mind I only thought our nearest and dearest would attend… Boy was I wrong. 60 people have booked so far and this wedding has caused me so much anxiety due to my budget DOUBLING in size. My advice is only invite the amount of people you can afford because apparently many people who you don’t think will actually come, WILL come! So don’t make my mistake. 🙂

@jlc3:  to answer your question, I figured out my immediate family first and then bridal party and that’s who I invited from my side… My FI’s side of the family is what caused the number of people invited to sky rocket. Then his mom added her friends and I thought it was harmless because why would someone want to go to a DW for someone they never met?? Well apparently people do this and bring their teenagers along who weren’t even invited. Ugh. I should have eloped!

My wedding hasn’t happened yet so I don’t actually know how many people will be coming, but we have a rough idea.

We invited about 100 people (knowing that many of our extended family probably could not come but would’ve still wanted to be invited).

It looks like we will probably get a turnout of around 25-40. The all-inclusive packages turned out to be a LOT pricier than we thought (around 1800 per person) so we don’t expect too many to attend.

(And let’s face it…I had a Destination Wedding so we’d have a smaller crowd so I’m happy – lol)

@jlc3:  We invited about 100 people to our wedding in Cuba. Only my and DH’s immediate family, a few of our parents close friends that we know and our close friends. Some people we invited we knew weren’t going to be able to make it but had to send them the invite anyways. We had 70 people attend which was an amazing turnout! It was a liitle bit more then we budgeted for but the cost for the reception there per plate was much less then a hometown reception so we are able to afford it
