FI and I went with Adults Only.  We are going to have a smaller turn out because of that, but we’re okay with it.  I honestly don’t think you can wrong with any resort in Punta Cana.  They all seem equally beautiful with great service.  (FYI, we went with the Excellence).

Happy decision making!  Seriously, I don’t think you can wrong with either resort.

Jbrooke:  I have been to a few resorts in Punta Cana and have to say that the Paradisus is amazing. However, I have also heard that Excellence and NOW Larimar are also amazing, but I think those resorts are adults-only.  So, definitely recommend Paradisus!

NOW Larimar is not adults only, it’s owned by the people who own dreams, but I’ve heard the beach is nicer, that’s where I’m getting married, kids are free ere as well, where they weren’t in the preferred club at dreams palm beach! Good luck deciding, I’m sure you’ll love whichever you choose!

We have stayed at the Paradisus before – such a lovely hotel!  I had a great experience there, and hopefully will be doing my DW at one of their properties near Cancun.

We’re getting married at Dreams La Romana, it’s on a different part of the island, but it has a GORGEOUS pier on which we’re getting married. You should make a list of what you want and prioritize resorts based on that. Trust me, it took me about a month of intense research before deciding on the resort. Also, you have the option of staying at a resort in Punta Cana and getting married at Jellyfish or Huruacan depending on your budget. There’s tons of info on bestdestinationwedding.com/forums on these places, as well as several facebook groups which are super helpful.

Finally, if you haven’t contacted a travel agent, I highly reccomend doing so. We’re using Patty Jordan with Wright Travel Agency and I can’t recomend her highly enough, I have literally never read a bad review about her, and she responds super quickly and is so knowledgable and helpful. Her email is patty@wrighttravelagency.com. She can give you some really good reccomendations and group packages. It doesn’t end up being much less expensive, but the ease of mind is what’s really worth it for me. Whenever a guest asks about pricing I just say email Patty. 🙂

Good luck!

We are thinking about Punta Cana and decided to go the off site route at either jellyfish Or Huracan restaurant. Depending on your budget it may or may not be an option but very comparable to what resorts charge.

We are getting married at dreams palm Beach this November! I am in love with what I heave seen and read about the resort. And almost everyone I have spoken to that stayed at a dreams resort LOVED it. They have been easy to work with in regards to wedding planning too. A bit pricier than other places but I think it will be worth it.

I am having my DW in Punta Cana at the Grand Bahia Principe in May 2015. We are expecting about 60 people to attend. The ceremony will be on the beach with a cocktail hour and reception outside under a terrace.
