Ok I need suggestions for music. We keep saying we aren’t going to do it, but if we did, how the heck would we? I’m pretty sure there isn’t a source of electric anywhere nearby (the site is sight unseen) Anyone else working on this?
We are usuaing a steel drum band….to play for the ceremony as well as during our dinner…..it’s costing us about 300 but thought it was worth it…..there are several youtube videos on steel drum bands…..
My favorite is the cannon in d on the steel drums….so pretty
i got married on a beach, but at a resort in Jamaica and they had a really good CD player that i guess was hooked up to speakers and played the music loud and clear. i hear it perfectly on our home made video too despite the wind.
We are taking our own music. My two sons are musicians, one a pianist and both vocalists. They are going to make recording for us and then we are downloading to IPod. Our resort has IPod docking stations with CD players. They told us we could also bring our own rechargeable docking station for our candlelight dinner because we want our special songs.
We originally wanted a family member to play guitar..but then realized without a mic the sound of the ocean might drown it out too much. We went without music and it was wonderful with the ocean as our music!
Maybe you could use something small and battery operated? We’re having a guitarist play for two hours total, after that were just going to use an iPod hooked up to something. The rental company also gave us the option of renting sound equipment etc.
