Weddingbee boards

I'm having a destination wedding, and I was thinking of getting those silk petals for a little throwing.   Cherry blossom petals.

Basically they end up on the ground and then what? Will the resort get mad and ask someone to clean them up?  

I don't want to cause a hassle, I don't have my heart set of them so I can forgo the idea. 

Anyone used these?  I'm sure if there was an ecco friendly idea out there also they would not biodegrade too quickly either and need some cleaning up. 

Other than real flower petals, I haven't got any thoughts.
