I’m looking to buy the diana enzoani dress. (it’s beautiful) but based on the website, it only comes in that bright white it seems (correct me if I’m wrong). I want it to look more antique colored. Is it possible to dye it a few shades darker or would that be completely ruined? Thoughts?

@shools164: You could see if the designer is willing to add antiquing by hand, or if there is a dressmaker in your area that knows how.. I saw this once on say Yes to the dress…a bride ordered a pinina tornei(sp?) and when it came it she freaked because it was so white compared to the sample that had been worn to death and was a little antique looking because of wear and tear of being a sample..the designer hand painted or dyed the lace on her dress to give it the antique look she wanted.

It’s not bright white in person…at all. It’s ivory in person. The picture on the computer does NOT do it justice. I’ll try to see if I can post a picture of mine showing its true color in real life…

This is the best I could find showing the true color. It’s a very “antique” white. Also, don’t know if this helps, but my veil on the left of the picture is called “dark ivory” and it matches the dress perfectly.
so if you’re worried about it being stark white, don’t be! It’s definitely not! (I wouldn’t have gotten it if it was–I can’t pull off a stark white dress 🙂

Yeah, I’ve heard it’s more ivory white than “bright” white. I think it’s just the pictures that makes it look too bright.
