@Jen51287:  hi. I just dyed my Davids bridal crinoline petticoat yesterday! I L O V E it and cannot wait to wear it with my dress. I am wearing 2 petticoats and am leaving one white.

2 packages of Rit Pink Petal Dye

put your skirt thru the rinse and spin cycle so it’s damp before dying

fill washer with hottest water, add dye, add skirt when full. i just let mine go thru 1 full cycle of agitation, rinse and spin. Then I added detergent and softner and ran it thru again.

it gets all tied in knots, don’t fret. Untangle it and hang it outside to blow dry. Fluff it up.

hope this helps

@Mammy:  Yours is so pretty!!!! I love it!! I’ve thought about doing mine pink, but I’m worried it just won’t look good with my country theme and my cowgirl boots.

@Jen51287:  YAY. I forgot to add to do the bleach wash after. It was fine. No color left in the machine.

I have a dark purple one that I’m thinking about selling… I dyed it for my wedding, but now that it’s over, I have no real use for the petticoat! … But when I did it, I had to dye it twice.. It’s awesome!

@Mammy:  Don’t forget to wear the white one UNDER the colored one!! If you wear the white on top, you won’t see the color 🙂 .. I did the same thing.. My photographer is actually the one who told me to wear the color on top — she was right 😀

@jordanhughes:  the pink is soooo soft and pretty. I would totally wear cowboy boots, combat boots, rain boots with this pink petticoat. It’s awesome. I want to wear it to the grocery store!

@Jen51287:  I wore mine all day!! No leaking, and it was WET outside (but no rain).. And I sweated to death during the reception.. No purple got on my dress at all 😀

@Jen51287:  it only took 20 minutes to dry outside on a hanger. The wind was blowing a bit and it was sunny out. I’m not worried about color running. It’s in there to stay. Did you rewash with detergent? I seriously think it will be fine.

@Jen51287:  Sure thing.. Now.. I did use RIT dye.. But I don’t think the iDye is that much different, and if it’s the poly, it’ll definately stay if you followed the instructions.

@Mammy:  Sure! I’m glad my photog said something or I woulda worn them “wrong” :-
