I think that the style would really suit you. I love it. The thing is if you have a problem with the tattoo then it will bother you. My Dad had all his tattoos lasered off and said it was more painful then getting the tattoo. ๐Ÿ™

I want that kind of haircut so badly but FI forbids it! lol Your face shape looks like it would support that cut and be very cute so I say go for it! It’s not an offensive tattoo and has meaning, you’ll probably get one or two rude people but probably a lot more who just love your hair! ๐Ÿ™‚

I feel funny showing mine alot too, its on my chest/under collarbone, and I always hated when 2% of it is showing and people are like “What’s it say? Can I read it?” Which involved my pulling my shirt halfway off. Lol. But now I just tell them and ignore it. I really love that hair cut and I think it would look great on you!:) Maybe keep the back long enough to cover? No mullet though ๐Ÿ˜›

@jessyrez:  I think you would look great with that hairstyle. My FI had laser treatment on one of his tats,it wasn’t that successful because it had a lot of red and blue but the black ink is easier to break doen. He said it was more painful than getting the tattoo though and in the end it cost a lot of money, wasn’t all that successful and he got a cover up.

@jessyrez:  hmmm…it’s a difficult one, I don’t know a lot about lasers but I’ve heard they don’t totally take the tattoo away, it will be very visable, but I guess you have to decide if its what you want to do.

i like it! and i like the tattoo. but then i have a tattoo there, also, so maybe i’m biased.

do you wear your hair up a lot at the moment? because i find that if i put my hair up my tattoo shows but i never think about it.

think of it this way – YOU never have to see your own tattoo, just your lovely new short hair in the mirror Wink

i think your tattoo is fine and the hair is fantastic, DO IT! in life they say you regret the things you didnt do way more than the things you did.

If you felt you really needed to hide it for say an important meeting you could with scarfs and/or collared tops so do it!

I had lasser hair removal;  not exactly the same thing as laser tattoo removal, but same type of principle.

Not all laser technicians or lasers are alike!  If you do decide to go that route, do not pick the cheapest one.  Depending upon what state you live in, laser may be a state regulated service, or not.

The laser work I had done was painful, but not unbearable.  It felt like a hot rubber band snapping onto my skin repeditively.  It will take a few sessions to completely remove (I think that’s what my tech. said when I asked her about tattoo removal.)  After the session, my skin was hot and red for a few hours (and I HAD to stay out of the sun.)

So if you do decide to go that route, you may want to hold off on the haircut until AFTER your removal is complete.  Again, I would call around to a couple dermatologists, see what they have to say.  Again, don’t go with a unbelievably low quote on this.  A laser in the wrong hands can leave horrible burns and scarring.  That would be even worse than simply keeping an unwanted tattoo!
