I hate Woody Allen and his dry toast movies. If this is true why was he never prosecuted? Why would Mia not freak and make sure this animal wasn’t spending the rest of his days in prison? Just infuriating that he’s not.

I’m really glad she’s speaking out. As you said, her voice was missing from the conversation.

Good for her. There are a lot of people saying she must be lying since nothing ever happened when she was young and she never came out, and I say shame on them. Until they’ve been in those shoes, they have no right to say such a thing.

I think his relationship with his current wife is creepy enough. Yes, she was not legally his step-daughter, but she was nonetheless the daughter of his long-term girlfriend. And 19 when they officially got together, when he was in his 50s. Obviously a 19 year old is vastly different from a 7 year old, but he clearly has different moral values.

It said that Mia didn’t continue with the prosecution of WA because Dylan had gone thru so much, with people not believeing her and having to tell her story over and over.  She did make sure there was no visitation.  She had to do what was right for her own child and not think about the kids WA and Soon Yi adopted.

I really can’t believe Hollywood honors scum like that, but half of them think Roman Polanski should be allowed to return to the US.   I’m so glad that Dylan is speaking out.  Shame on people for honoring that perv.  You can NOT seperate the person from the art…… the art is part of the person and someone like WA should have just faded away.

@DVhelp:  I am a victim of sexual abuse by my father as well. I can say that taking a person to court doesn’t automatically mean justice. I was 3 when I admitted to my mom that my dad had made me touch him. She immediately took it to court. He, of course, denied it, and the court found him not guilty because they believed a lying bastard over an abused 3 year old girl. It wasn’t for another 12 years that he finally came clean and admitted what he did to his new wife, and he only did so that he could “feel better” about adopting their children together. He now has a 5-6 year old adopted daughter and I just feel dread inside when I think of what he’s probably done to her behind closed doors. Sometimes, there is no such thing as justice for those who have been victims of abuse. It’s sad, it’s unfair, but it’s the world we live in.

@HisIrishPrincess:  The prosecutor is the one who decided to drop the case. In this article, he states that Dyan was “traumatized to the extent that I did not have a confident witness to testify in any court setting, whether that’s a closed courtroom or an open courtroom.”

@quierajen:  Similar story here; although we never took the guy to court after consulting with lawyers who said we basically had no evidence and it wasn’t worth the trauma to hear a not guilty sentence. And now the guy babysits his little granddaughter all the time. Makes me sick that he, your dad, and guys like WA can walk away from such things, but it happens all the time.

I believe it’s 1 in 4 girls is sexually abused in her lifetime. This makes me so terribly worried for my daughter and sick that it can be allowed to happen so often. I’m going to be a STICKLER about who is around my child. I hope I can protect her from evil like this.

I’m not a fan of his movies. Quirky/awkward is overdone.

If this is all true, how awful it is that he can get away with it! His fame and accolade is akin to smearing all that awfulness in his daughter’s face as well as other victims of child abuse.

Hollywood doesn’t care. Celebrity underbelly is full of drugs, sex and alcohol, what makes child abuse any different to them? Everything is a facade. It’s all about their “art”, etc, etc, not the person and what they do in their personal life, even if they are a paedophile/druggie/alcoholic/sex addict. As @HisIrishPrincess:, they’d all be happy for Polanski to return to the US; he’s got such directorial talent, nevermind he’s a criminal. They all get away with it; look at Lindsay Lohan or that rat Bieber. No reprimand so they do it again and again because, as it’s been proven over and over, they can get away with it. A$$holes.

I have aways hated Woody Allen.  I totally believe Dylan.  His famous comment {re: messing with Mia’s daughter}”the heart wants what the heart wants”.  No shithead–your dick wants what the dick wants.  He should be behind bars.

@DVhelp:  Can’t stand Woody Allen, think he’s whiney and annoying and don’t care for his movies. That being said, if you look at all the “evidence” that he molested his daughter… there isn’t a lot. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/01/27/the-woody-allen-allegations-not-so-fast.html

Not to mention, it recently came out that Mia Farrow’s brother was accused and charged with molesting children. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2478439/John-Villers-Farrow-Mia-Farrows-brother-jailed-sexually-abusing-2-boys.html

@itsmeetam:  I think it’s interesting that you use Polanski as your argument considering that Mia Farrow is a good friend of his and has always stood behind him.

For the record, do I think it’s messed up that Woody Allen left his girlfriend for HER much younger, adopted daughter? Yes. Talk about betrayal. Your own daughter going after your boyfriend. But it was not HIS daughter and she was 19 at the time.

@DVhelp:  While never a huge Woody Allen fan, the Soon Yi debacle was enough to make me turn on him. It sickens me that people still want to work with him, let alone “honor” him.

He’s a miserable and very sick man. I can’t even imagine what Soon Yi’s life is like. He’s already probably tired of her and has moved on to one of their kids.
