I am thinking about getting a dyson. I’m glad to hear that they work well. I will tell my FH that the Bees recommend it so we def should get it.

I have a Dyson too.  You can save a few bucks by getting the non-“Animal” because it is the same vacuum, just a different attachment comes with the Animal.  Yeah, I LOVE my Dyson!!

Three trillion hearts for our Dyson. We have the DC25 Blueprint. It is amazing on our carpets and hardwood and destroys our cat and dog hair.  It’s the kind that swivels on a ball for super maneuverability. We got a great deal on it, worth every penny.

I LOVE my pink dyson! The inventor was on TV tonight…so I took a picture of him with my vacuum beside it, I’m just a little in love with him too!

Pink?! Oh I didn’t know this came in pink! I’m sure my FI is glad I didn’t when we purchased ours last year! haha It has saved me as an allergy sufferer who recenlty moved into a place previously inhabited by cat owners. Thank you Mr. Dyson maker 🙂

PinkMagnolias Love your tribute photo, that’s so great!

We got the Dyson animal at my bridal shower and we love it! We have two cats and it does a great job of getting rid of the pet hair. When I empty the canister after vacuuming I joke with FI that it sucked up two cats worth of hair which is fiting because we have 2 cats! 🙂

I’m saving all my gift cards that we get for the bridal showers and wedding for one of these babies.  Is the pet hair one worth the money?  We have a golden retreiver and a persian cat both long hair fur babies, but we have majority wood floors through the house.  What would you recommend?  Also, where did you get the best deal on them?

@bridget_124: I’m in the market for a new vacuum so I popped in this thread — I have all wood floors and it’s generally recommended to get a canister vacuum. We don’t need the beater bars on uprights and canisters have a bit more versatility and suction. As far as I’ve found, Miele is the best canister brand, don’t think Dyson is really known for canisters.
