To me they both seem really revealing...
I do like the first one but I would wear tights... up to you though.
LOVE the first one. Very adorable! I think the second one looks like something you'd need to get your FI to wear a tux with & be in a formal setting. The first one, although it's revealing, is SO very cute & I'm positive with the right shoes you could definitely pull it off. My dress was short too & I rocked it! :)
If your doing pics on the beach, I would say 1...
personally, I'm not a fan of either... but I don't know you at all or have a clue as to what you look like.
I am only 5' so both the dresses arent very short on me. ha. the first one comes to just about my knee and the other is a little above.
Both dresses are great for dinner and a night on the town. But, I think a little too sexy for engagement pictures to send to relatives, especially to granny and grandpa.
If you are absolutely convinced you want either dress, the first one could work, depending on what he's wearing and the back drop. I just don't think it's the right color for photos being taken in Jamaica. You may want to get people in the mood for the wedding by wearing something with a little more color, more sporty, and less fancy.
But, my thinking is, if you want to win his side over, don't wear something which will cause a controvery.

If these are your options, #1. Number 2 is waaay too sexy for e-pics especially if you're going to be sharing them with family and friends. It's a great dress but for a night on the town, not e-pics.
I adore the first one! I am not a huge fan of the second one only because its super sexy. And I probably wouldn't go for that for an engagement photo. Oh, lol, just realized that other bees said the same thing.

FH and I are getting married in Jamaica next April. We are going this April to meet the coordinator and start planning. We are doing our engagement photos while we are there. I bought both of these dresses for our trip. I am not sure which one to wear for the e-pic session? I love them both, and I am not sure if either one is appropriate for the pics...need some help from the hive!
