Hey bees! So I posted before about vintage e-pic ideas, and now I think I narrowed down a couple of outfits but I need your help deciding. The e-pics are next Sunday so I need to figure out if I need to head to the mall or not!
We want to do one outfit change (we have 2 hours total) and figure we will have a more casual normal outfit for walking around a park, and a dressier outfit when we walk around downtown (it’s an older historic more vintage-y feel). Let’s hope the weather stays in the mid-upper 60’s and sunny like it says for next Friday!
Outfit #1: Fiance will be wearing a neutrally colored button down shirt with dark jeans and brown shoes. But basically we are going to change his shirt color to best match me haha. I couldn’t figure out any casual vintage options, so these are more normal everyday outfits. Here are my options:
A. Red shirt with riding boots. First, Fiance didn’t like the shirt, but he changed his mind and thinks it looks awesome with the boots. I like the boots, but am unsure if I look too much like a cowgirl, which I totally am not. I like that the colors would go well with fall foliage.
B. Blue shirt with boots. I have another pair of a lighter brown/chestnut boots that I might switch with the dark boots. But my photographer said a nice blue shirt might pop against the background, so this is what I found. I haven’t figured out accessories with either yet.
Outfit #2: Fiance will be wearing black pants, black shoes, and a button down dress shirt (again, color matching to me.. like not matchy matchy, but going well with). Here are my options:
C. White lace Mad Men collection Banana Republic dress. I have been eyeing this dress since it came out and I found it on clearance at BR the other week so I couldn’t pass it up. The top is a little large so don’t mind my holding back the shoulders, and I’m having FI’s mom work her magic on it this weekend, so hopefully the fit will be a little better. I am obsessed with the red heels, and I think they make any outfit pop.
D. Retro dress from modcloth. This screams 50s housewife to me (so it’s definitely vintage), and Fiance loves this outfit the most with the heels. (I feel like this is some dirty fantasy of his haha) but I’m concerned it looks too costumey if Fiance is just wearing a normal outfit. How could Fiance match to this one better?
Okay so there you have it. Vote away and let me know what you think! Even if it’s something totally different than I was thinking, I am terrible at making decisions. Any other tips on accessorizing would be great as well. Thanks 🙂
