I am starting to totally freak out about our engagements pics coming up Sunday! I don’t know what to wear, how to pose (hopefully the photographer will) where to do them (Fairbanks, Alaska doesnt have the best options, plus there is the snow)! I take such horrible pics anyway, I just know I’m going to look freaking huge! What if I have a double chin in the pics? Do I wear jeans, pants, a dress? UUUGGGHHHH!!!! Any advice?

We had a shoot done last weekend and I felt the same as you. The weather was cold and rainy and I wasn’t sure how to dress. FI wanted to be casual but I was thinking along the lines of something vaguely resembling a wedding dress!
In the end we decided to do ‘casual’. We dressed exactly as we normally would on a saturday morning so that they captured that part of us. We decided that our wedding would be exactly that with all the attire that it entails.
Our photographers were really good and told us how to pos althought in a fairly informal way and we ended up really enjoying ourselves and now I can’t wait to get our pics in two weeks!

I’m going to say this as a photographer, but also as a plus size lady. You are beautiful, and your FI knows that.
Going in, have utter and complete confidence in yourself!
If you wanna avoid double chin, jut your neck out and lean your forehead into all of your photos.
If it’s something you are insecure with, another flattering angle is looking up. avoid looking down or bringing your chin in.
Also! Don’t feel bad if you wanna ask your photographer to see how you look in his/her photos on the viewfinder. I never mind it myself.
Leaning on one leg and popping your hip out gives great curve and posture.
YOU CAN DO IT. I’m sure you will look great

@rowdygirl99: I did mine last week and just received them back I couldnt figure out what to wear either! ran around town picking up a few items, then as we rushed to the photographers studio after hair and make up i forgot to pack some major essential….. like basic shirts! shoes!! and so many other things, when it happens, just go with the flow… to top it off my FI couldnt figure out what to wear either and brough the pants and shirt that I dislike most in his closet but he loved them and stuck to it.
It was too late to go back and get all these items. For a lot of the shots I simply went barefoot and just wore the dresses I brought and just decided to forget about any casual jeans since, well I had no tops! LOL We ended up having a great time even with all the stess and I hope you have a wonderful experience too.
BTW I have no clue how to pose and am totally goofy and awkward. Your photographer is a pro and will make you look AMAZING.
