If it is between E-pics and "Day After" pics I would definitely pic E-pics (for 3 reasons):
1. It is really nice to have some GOOD professional shots of you and your FI/DH that are NOT wedding shots. These pictures are just the two of you, wearing every day clothes and can be sprinkled around your home for years to come. I promise, you will have SO many pics that you love in your wedding dress and tux/suit. E-pics are a nice addition.
2. You can use the E-pics throughout your wedding festivities (at your shower, on your STD's, ours was our "sign in matte photo" and our pics in our Picture Frame Card Box).
3. The day after your wedding you are most likely going to be exhausted! You will not look rested. You will probably have guests in town that you would like to spend time with, opening your gifts, etc. The day after our wedding we were exhausted. We went to our brunch the next morning, opened gifts with my parents then CRASHED so hard DURING dinner that we asked for our dinner to not even be brought out - just boxed up and we took it and threw it in our hotel fridge. I think we seriously went to sleep at 8:00!

I'd vote for e-pics for many of the same reasons that MrsK said - you can use the e-pics at the wedding and for wedding related things, and the day after your wedding I would think the last thing you'll want to do is get up and go have a photo shoot!
I voted for e-pics! I was a bride just last year and now a photographer, on the other side of the camera.
Having those few hours to connect with the photographer before the wedding is so important! By the time wedding rolls around, you know you'll be comfortable and natural in front of the camera and know exactly how your photographer will work with you. You'll have good confidence that your photographer will produce images to your desired quality level.
I can't think of anything I would like to do less after my wedding than to dress up and take photos. Even if it sounds fun now, I bet you'll be so exhausted after the final couple hectic weeks and the big day itself. I think you can squeeze in all the wedding photos you want on the actual day of the wedding.
I'd go with the e-pics. The day after my wedding I can't imagine wanting to have a camera all up in my business again.
I thinking having E-pics is the best idea. It gets you used to taking pictures with your FI where you are sort of intimate. At first it feels really weird to cuddle and kiss with a camera in your face and you don't want to adjust to that on the wedding day! If you really want a day after shoot later, you could always pay for it later.
I would do e-pics, they are an awesome learning experience so that you get the most out of your wedding pics. Me and FH learned a lot about how to pose, what angles, and arrangements of our bodies looked good. We picked up that the way we normally hold hands, although it feels good, doesn't look good on film, and that FH always leans into kisses way more than me ... we didn't pick up on any of it until we got our proofs, and now we will know how to do it differently for our wedding pics!

Hey hive! My photography package includes one extra session. We can choose an engagement session, TTD, day-after pictures, boudair session, etc. I wanted to do an early fall engagement shoot (our wedding is in May), but due to school, there was no chance for it to happen!
Now I'm thinking that maybe a shoot the day after the wedding would be fun. My friend did one, and took pictures in a field, at a park, on a bridge, etc, and they turned out SO cute. Will I miss having engagement pictures done? Should I get my sister to take some e-pics for us, or is it worth getting them done professionally? I love my dress and accessories so much, it seems great to get to wear them again!!
