Since it keeps happening, I would talk to a store manager about getting a refund and return the ring.  It is not worth it to keep having to have it repaired since it might be out of warranty one day or you might be living too far from a location to take it to them.

Mine does this, and the last time I fixed it, the jeweler told me some of the prongs were not reaching far enough so my diamonds were lose.  I’ve lost five (center stone included, it didn’t come out but was def on its way) in a year and a half, two of them within the past maybe month and a half.  It just keeps happening.  And I can’t always get around to taking it in.  AND mine is not insured anymore so I gotta pay $$ everytime.  I totally get your frustration!  It could have been that whoever set the diamonds into your setting didnt do a good job…that’s what a jeweler said about mine.  I’d try to get it switched if you can, but I know that’s probably going to be difficult.

That is terrible! I agree with MissAsB, definitely ask the store manager for something

I would absolutely talk to your jeweler about returning the ring or keeping your center stone and having it reset in a completely different setting.  The warranty will eventually run out and then you’ll really be in a pickle.  If stone are falling off with only a few months of wear the problem is only going to get worse.

My ring keeps losing the same stone. FH thought he was getting a great deal when his friend, a very talented jeweler custom made my ring. Instead his “friend” did a crappy job. I like my ring-i basically designed it- but when you look at it closely there are several flaws. I’ve had him replace the missing stone once already and he was rude about it saying first it was just dirty and then after fixing it asked me what I have been doing? Did I slam my ring in a door? 3 wks later the stone fell out again and we are just going to take it somewhere else. The worst part of the whole thing is I feel like this guy totally took advantage of FH, took his $$$ and spent an hour on it.

Sorry for the rant. I should have started my own thread about this!

I agree with the other girls, you should ask for a new ring. The thing about the prongs being messed up makes sense.

Ask the manager what is typically done in this situation.  Perhaps you could get a new ring or have your diamonds reset or something.

If all else fails call the headquarters and complain to them.

I am so happy to read this post and know I am not alone.  I had 3 stones fall out of my e ring in a 3 month period.  The jeweler said its bc when they sized the ring the prongs were loosened (THEN TIGHTEN THEM). I was so upset to show off my ring n was missing a diamond.  My FI and I ended up upgrading early to get a better ring.  Funny thing….one of the side stones fell out of that ring 2 days ago.  My jewleer keeps inturpting me with his super stong accent and says he will get it fixed.  This is not something I want to deal with for the rest of my/ my rings life.

My suggestion would be to get a new ring or a new jeweler if possible.

I would def speak to management or headquarters and report this problem.  Explain that you are not a satesfied customer.
