Why don’t you show it to him and let him decide to get it for you as an engagement ring? (he probably will). Unless you’re very tight on cash, $135 is not too much to spend on engagement ring, seperate from a wedding band.

If I were you I’d want to get an e-ring. It’s a symbol to mark a new chapter as a couple.

I think you should get it if you love it.. Or show him, and let him decide, like someone else said.. It really isn’t that expensive. So, he may surprise you!

I’m the odd one out. I’d put the money towards a nice wedding band, because you will, hands down, wear that all the time.

Another vote for letting him buy it for you.

Engagement is a NEW Chapter in your life, and having something to “mark that occasion” is the norm (BTW it doesn’t have to be a ring… rings are now the norm… but it could be any other piece of jewellery / heirloom / family article)

Besides, THE MINUTE you tell folks you are engaged, they are gonna want to see “the ring”… having one to show will make it a lot easier, than countless explanations of WHY there isn’t one.

After the Wedding, you can wear the ERing with your WBand, or not… lots of gals rock their ERings as RHRings too.

Hope this helps,

@MsSunshineBee:  I’d choose a nicer wedding ring. As someone else mentioned, you will wear that all the time.

@FutureMrs.Wood:  I agree with you.  When we get married, I plan on wearing my band on its own more often because of work reasons.

I would hold out for a better wedding band.

I have my mom’s wedding set, which is a 1.25ct round solitaire and a 1.71ctw eternity band, and I LOVE wearing the eternity band. it is super blingy without being ostentatious. I plan to use it as my wedding band and only wear that most of the time.

If you really love it, I would get it. $135 is a steal.
