Yes I am that girl getting my hair and makeup done for my engagement photos because I have no clue how to do them myself…Revision - - I have no clue how to make my hair and face look camera fresh for 2+ hrs….Below are two pictures of my mug and my mop…and then there are the pix of Eva Longoria’s mug and mop that are my inspiration pictures.  I’m thinking I would like my makeup to be less heavy than hers, not so much on the eyes..…

Do you think her hair and makeup would look good for me!?!?!?!?

I have no suggestions, but I think the hair style from Eva's photo would look great!

@jackie-o i love the look! i think the soft curls would frame your face really nicely. it would be a little step up from perhaps how you usually do your hair, but you'll still look and feel like yourself -- except a little more glam. i think you'd look great!

as for the makeup, i think the overall look would work for you. i think playing up your eyes with some pretty golds & warm browns would really make your eyes pop and bring out the color of your skin.

aside from the pics you posted of eva longoria, i would wear something with a little more color on your lips. maybe a pretty rose color. the first thing i noticed about your picture was your smile, so play it up girl! plus, a little color on your lips will pick up nicely on film.

those are my suggestions, but i'm confident you'll look beautiful however you decide to do your hair & makeup!

For e-sessions, I think it's great when the couples either do a totally stylized shoot, or just keep it true to themselves. Get a nice blow-out for some curl at a salon for your hair, and keep it natural with your make-up. You're so pretty anyway, I don't see you looking at all bad in your photos :)

But DEFINITELY use professionals! Every photography I know (I know quite a few) recommends at the very least professional make-up before a shoot. It just gives you color so that you're not washed out in the photos. Too many times have I seen girls upset with their e-sessions because even though they did their own make-up, they look really washed out in the photos.

Thank you so much....My hair is stick straight w/ zero volume. I blowdry it upside down w/ a huge round brush then flip my head back upright and voila I am done. I thought the Eva look would be great b/c its a little girlie flirtie version of how I wear my hair....The makeup I am still iffy on since I don't wear that much...Miss Chapstick you do bring up a good point - I don't want to look washed out, that is for sure!!!!

i think this is a great look - not too far from where you are normally, so you will look like the best version of yourself. Post pics when you're done!

@jackie-o: I don't usually wear a lot of make up on a daily basis (usually just a light foundation, nude-colored eye shadow to even things out, a peachy blush, and, well, chapstick:) ). BUT, when I got my make-up done for our e-session, I was SO happy I did. I told my make-up artist to do something pretty natural because I never look "done-up," so I looked very "me" in the photos, but my eyes popped and my face was glowing. It was awesome. SO highly recommend it :)

jackie-o, my friend! I LOOOVE that hair style for you. Very pretty. I like how bronzy eva looks too I think a bronzy look will look great on you. The eye makeup doesn't look like too much to me. You might actually want a little more than normal so it's visible in pics (remember my first trial where everyone said I looked like I had no m-up on?) I'm so excited to see your E pics! :)
