So I have this little black board in my kitchen that I mark the days to the wedding on. I am at day 20!! Pretty much done with everything at this point. A few minor details that reallys just can’t be done until the very last minute.
How is your planning going. Do you have any silly rituals (like my black board) that you are doing?
I love to hear what others are feeling and doing right now. My friends just don’t get it! I am sure I seem nuts to them right now.

I’m at 18 days out (DEC 3) and I am nervous, excited, scared, emotional. I have been so busy the past 3 months (not with wedding things) that it seems like all of my days are running together and time is flying.
I do a facebook countdown every day and people seem to enjoy commenting and I love hearing from my friends and family and all of them are supportive.
We are all done with the main planning, just little things left to go. Making favors, getting our marraige license, and final fittings.
How is everyone else doing?
@december bride: I love your blackboard!

I have tons of butterflies in my stomach right now as I type…32 more days! What?! Ahhh! My to do list is still a mile long. It’s all the small details, diy, follow up with vendors, etc. I’m so excited!! =)

I have my moments of panic. All the stuff that I’ve been saying for months that I have plenty of time to get done are suddenly needing to be done NOW.
Music is currently the bane of my existence. Who knew it would be so hard to come up with 4 hours of reception filler music?? And why did I wait so long to start thinking of this stuff?!

Seems like everyone around me is reminding me how close it is! I’m excited, but at the same time ready for the planning to be over. I have a house to renovate now!
I’m the same as yellowshoe… small details, diy and following up with vendors left to do. I’m very last minute. The food, booze and tunes are good to go, and that’s the most important in my mind. The rest is just background noise.
All the best, ladies! Can’t wait to see the recaps!!

I have a countdown going on my phone right now and everyone in the office counts down me everyday.
This weekend was my Bach. Party, so I accomplished NOTHING. lol. This weekend my Girls and I are going to buckle down and try and finish the majority of everything. We will also be doing some more partying. We actually have some Beer to finish (Shame on us). lol
@CherryWaves: Im with you, I cant wait to see all of our Recaps!!

Eeee! I can’t believe how close it is. I feel like I’ve been yo-yoing between feeling incredibly excited and feeling nervous, anxious, and stressed that things won’t fall into place. We’ve checked in with most of our vendors, and I’ve gone a bit crazy making exel spreadsheets, timelines, and schedules. It helps to put it all out on paper, especially for someone as Type A as me :p
Everybody at work and all of our friends are always reminding me how close it is, so I am getting excited! We still need to get our marriage license, go over everything with the band, assemble and box all of our day-of supplies…and of course, pay for it!
I feel like at this point, it is what is. All of the decisions are made, there’s really no use in panicking or second-guessing them. Deep down, I know it will all work out and that the day will be beautiful. Right now I feel like I’m on a roller-coaster of emotions, but hopefully when the time comes, I can just enjoy being a bride!

Sometimes I feel like I am just going to bust open I am so excited. We had our couples shower over the weekend it was amazing. My camera died right at the first photo I am so disappointed but the shower was just to wonderful for words. We got our marriage license last week. I finished all my thank you notes for the shower yesterday so that is out of the way. I thought if I waited then I would be bogged down with thank you cards for the wedding. We did a DIY – “Happlily ever after starts here”sign to help people with the last turn to the wedding site and I finished that this morning before I came to work. Also I got a bit worried about rain. We have been in a drought for the past year in Texas and December is one of our dryest monthes anyway, but I got an ivory unbrella at the dollar store and a black one for my step dad. I took fabric paint and painted the same “Happily ever after” on the Ivory umbrella. Now in case it should happen to rain I am all set. One less thing to wake up at 3 am to worry about. I have a hair trial on Saturday, Nail appoinment was made for the day before the wedding. I just took my winter coat to the dry cleaners so that is it is all fresh and pretty as we leave the reception site for our honeymoon. I think I am about as ready as I can be 18 days out!!!

i’m so excited for december to hurry up already and get here. at the same time though, i’m so nervous! i didn’t think i would be, but i think it’s the culmination of finishing up the semester of school, getting all my work done for work, and doing all the last minute wedding stuff.
fi and i are also moving next weekend into our new apartment (he’ll live there during wedding week and then once we come back from our wedding night hotel i’ll live there too), so packing + homework and projects are going to make for a very busy thanksgiving week.
i definitely can’t believe my wedding is only 2 weeks away though. i can’t wait!

We got our marriage license today! We also went over all the stuff with the band last night. I’ve been feeling much better this week, like it’s all finally coming together. I can’t believe it’s just two weeks to go.
I’m starting to more excited than stressed, which is great 🙂 I just have a handful of small projects and the seating chart/escort cards left, and I think we’ll be in good shape.
@december bride: Despite the drought, I’ve been worried about rain too. Hopefully this warm weather will hold up for us!
@vintagemodernbride: Good luck with your move and with the end of school…I’m imagining how busy I am right now with two weeks to go, I can only guess how hectic things are right now for you with all of that on your plate. Good luck!

11 days away!! took all the last minute pieces to their destinations – cake topper to baker, final guest list typed and ready to both the chapel and reception venue. Final payments made to venue. Met with photographer yesterday. Had a final hair trial and got my color “recharged”. Did time trials from Hair dresser to venue ( yes I am a bit OCD) I have all the wedding dIY piesces set out so that nothing gets forgotten the day of. I found the greatest little book yesterday. It is called “Married for Life”. it is short little stories written by couples married 50 or more years and what they consider to be their secrets to sucess. I got that and a great card and wrapped it up. My maid of Honor is going to take this to my Fiance about 1/2 hour or so before the wedding starts. So excited about this. I want him to know just before he says his vows that this is forever not just about the wedding day. Excitement is now turning in to this over powering amount of love. We just can’t seem to tell each oother enough how much in love we are. He said it four times just leaving for work this morning. I am so happy. No one has ever been this good to me in my life!

@december bride: Sounds like it’s all coming together! I feel like we’re a few steps behind you, but we’re getting there 🙂 We still have to make a seating chart, talk to our photographer, give our final numbers/make final payment, and order alcohol (all of those things about 1 week before, so next Monday).I love the idea about the book, too…I’m sure he’ll love it!
My parents are coming in town Wednesday before the wedding to help me assemble and box up all of the stuff for the candy buffet and centerpieces. I sent out schedules and detailed info to my coordinator and wedding party. I feel like I was super stressed a few weeks back, but I’ve started to feel like I’ve done all that I can to get organized and now I just have to trust all my vendors to make it happen.

The countdown is in the single digits!! I’m hovering between excited and anxious this week. We have lots of running around to do this weekend, and I’m worried the possible inclement weather that’s coming our way may put a damper on it… i don’t have time for freezing rain and snow!! I’ll be a busy bee tonight, finishing up the seating chart, table numbers, making phone calls, getting mine and FI’s speech started… almost there!
Wooo we are offiically in single digit countdown mode AND we picked up our marriage license today!!!
I almost died laughing when I opened the envelope in the car to look at it, and tucked inside is a pamphlet all about STD testing. Ohhh thank you Dallas county, I totally needed that laugh.

Honestly, I don’t even have time to think about it right now. I have a pretty high stress job at a mid-sized corporate law firm as the only paralegal to an entire department, so the pressure of getting everything in order just to take two days off is mounting like you wouldn’t believe. Everytime someone at works says “Oh, you must be so excited!” I seriously have to stop myself from saying “No, not really I have too many documents to revise to think about it.”.
Soooo yeah. The attire is all taken care of, the hotel is booked, the officiant and photographer are ready, we managed to get a free banquet hall because we went through a restaurant attached to a hotel, my makeup artist is ready. Really the only loose ends left are the cake (we’re making it this weekend), a cover for my dress as I haven’t had the time to leave the office and look for one, and fine-tuning our puppysitting arrangements.
Congrats to all you Bees getting married tomorrow and Saturday!
