For those that are or have been pregnant, did you have symptoms before BFP or missed period? What were yoru symptoms? (I know everyone is different.)

I'm trying to be logical and not get my hopes up. But holy headaches batman! I usually don't get headaches (I get migraines sometimes, but rarely a standard headache), and have had them 3 out of the last 4 days. I also had cramps around 6 DPO. **crosses fingers**

(And I figure since I post this, AF will show up in the next day or so to prove me wrong.)

I didn't have cramps until a couple of days before my missed period but I did have a ton of headaches and I was super tired.  I constantly felt like I had a hangover.  I also just felt different and a few days before my missed period my stomach felt kind of fluttery.  I didn't get a positive result until three days after my missed period though.

My BFP was not a sticky baby, but in any case, I had very sore breasts and cramping for about 5 days before I tested.  I tested at 14 dpo.

Honestly, it was all my normal AF symptoms. Bloated, crabby, tired, lots of mucus/discharge, kind of crampy and uncomfortable. Then, my boobs got sore and that's when I knew something was up.

I got my BFP like 4 days before my period was due.

I felt like I was coming down with a cold, was burping like crazy, and my hands and feet felt like they were super hot. I was walking around holding a cup of ice!

I got my BFP 5 days before my period was due.

    7-8 DPO - constipated

    8 DPO - bad headache

9 DPO - implantation cramp (or what I think were) - it was a few sharp cramps accompanied by tingling down my leg

10/11 DPO - crampy (but I am always a little crampy before AF)

    11 DPO - gassy

12 DPO - BFP (the day before my period was due).  I didn't test before then (too many months of negatives discouraged me) so I don't know if I would have gotten a positive earlier.

Honestly I felt like all of my symptoms could have been related to AF or anything else!  The only thing that had me hopeful was the cramps that I felt on 9DPO.  Would have been too early for PMS and the tingling thing was just freaky.

After my BFP, started feeling hungover and HUNGRY - constantly.  Maybe at like 17 DPO my nipples started looking bigger and darker.  Breast tenderness didn't really kick in until like 5 weeks pregnant (21DPO).

    Good luck!

I took an HPT days before my period was supposed to come. In fact, my period was so irregular that I had no idea when it was going to come...but I just knew I was pregnant from my symptoms.

DAYS after conception my nipples were sore, and I couldn't stand certain smells. I also had headaches, which I never get. I took an HPT and found out I was pregnant at 3 weeks, 5 days.

I had nausea with both pregnancies before a positive test (this one, my first day of nausea came at 10 DPO).

The week after ovulation, I slept so much. I also had some sharp cramping that week I would assume was implantation. I took a test that Sunday and a faint positive popped up followed by an immediate positive on the digital.

I was EXTREMELY exhausted a week before my BFP, could barely make it through the day.  And I was ravenously hungry.  I would get woozy and lightheaded once or twice a day.  And I was HOT all the time, whether it was sitting in my office or in bed at night.  All of those things made me suspicious, so 2-3 days before my missed period I kept testing (and getting BFNs).  I think by 1 or 2 days past my expected AF date, I got my BFP.

Starting at about 10DPO my nipples were super sore (it felt like they were being stabbed by tiny pins), I was exhausted all of the time, I was really bitchy, and I was insanely congested. I got my BFP the day after my period was due.

This is good to know as I'm fighting a beast of a sinus headache right now at 9 DPO or so. Ever since going on prenatals, my health has been awesome with the sinus stuff rarely happening. This is the first it's happened to me in a long time. I'm fighting a big headache right now. I went to bed early last night too. I keep telling myself that it's nothing to avoid any disappointment.

To be completely honest, I had more "symptoms" every month for the 18 months we were trying than the one month I was actually pregnant.

I remember that my boobs were pretty tender from 4dpo on and I had cramps that steadily got more painful. I was also super tired all day no matter how much sleep I got. The thing that popped out most to me though was that I was (TMI ALERT) pretty constipated and I NEVER have that issue. I remember reading an article the night before my bfp about how progesterone slows down you digestive system and a lightbulb went off.

I got my BFP at 3w4d- I had EXTREMELY sore breasts starting at 3w2d- they hurt so bad that I knew something was going on... I also had a stuffy nose, and lower back ache, which is really unusual for me.  I knew without a doubt that I was pregnant before I even got home and tested.  It even showed up that early in the late afternoon without holding my pee.  (sorry for all the TMI, but you asked!)

    I had 2 things the month I got a BFP there were different than the 13 months I haven't : )

    1) SUPER exhausted about a week after O (like had to sleep at 7).

    2) Major cramping like AF cramps 7dpo all day.

I've had so many months where I thought I was extra tired, but this exhaustion was totally different.

I didn't have any symptoms at all, in fact, had I not had to test for a medical procedure, I wouldn't have even done a test the day I got my BFP.

I had only very tiny indications --

    (1) NO headaches, whereas I usually get awful headaches before AF

    (2) TMI - lots of creamy CM

    (3) weird cramps that felt like pulling or twinges starting about a day before AF was supposed to arrive.  I thought they were regular period cramps, but in retrospect they were something different that I had never felt before.

My biggest symptom was a lack of symptoms.  Usually I have minor cramping, sore boobs, and bloating in varying increments from O time until AF arrives.  The month I got my BFP, I had absolutely none of those symptoms.  Looking back now I can pinpoint the following:

    1.  4 DPO - sharp, painful cramp that lasted about 5 minutes (I think that was possibly implantation).

    2.  From O onwards, lots of creamy CM.  I didn't realise that was a sign of pregnancy and thought maybe my cycle was going wonky.

    3.  10 DPO - yawning a lot more during the day and feeling a lack of energy, but not significantly so that it impeded my day.

    4.  12 DPO - thought my boobs looked bigger and wasn't sure, but thought that there may have been slightly more noticeable veins on them (this ended up being correct and is a big pregnancy symptom).

And that was it for my symptoms - I tested at 15 DPO and got my BFP.

Great thread! I've been curious what the early pregnancy symptoms are as well! It has been a painful week trying to analyze if symptoms are AF or early pregnancy!

Incessant peeing which started at about 10DPO and cramps that started at 12DPO and continued until my missed period.

I noticed a few things at about 7-10 DPO (I tested on 10 DPO and got my positive). I didn't really pay attention to them because I didn't want to get my hopes up, but I did have a gut feeling that something was different and I would see that little line. My early symptoms were slight nausea when I got up in the morning, sore breasts and peeing a lot more often.

I had none. The only reason I tested was because I had NO cramps from my period and I was feeling pretty great!

@heathaah: Me too. I learned to stop obsessing over symptoms. (TTC for 1yr)

It seems like most people got some signs 7-10 DPO. Not everyone got signs that early, but it seems that if you are going to show early signs that's when they show up. Right?

I'm going into the 2nd day of TWW and it gives me hope that I *might* start to feel something 5-8 days from now.

My earliest sign was constipation and cold-like symptoms.  I did have some nausea early on, but thought it was from post nasal drip.  And I felt tired, like I was fighting something.  About a week before my BFP I even went to a walk in clinic because I had spent the day before resting on the couch and really felt like I wasn't getting better.  The clinic told me I was fine - no cold, no fluid and that maybe it was just viral.  The following weekend I noticed very strong smelling urine and that I was smelling things my husband wasn't.  The next day I was so exhuasted I didn't want to do anything and was nauseous all day.  I knew something was up.  I took a test the next day and for sure it was positive.  I tested at 13 DPO so I would say my symptoms went back about a week or more from there.

Just got our BFP last weekend, but I swear, if I could win an award for being tired, I would take 1st place. I too had constipation and dry nose(couldn't breathe and still can't too well) if I lay down. My nipples have hurt like heck, which was a huge sign for me since they never hurt, and the night before I tested, I swore up and down walking out of Target with DH that someone had thrown up...he had no clue what I was talking about. lol I tested 14 DPO and got a BPF! Good luck :)

I got my BFP at 10 DPO but I did have some symptoms earlier that made me want to test. I am currently around 6 weeks pregnant.

    1.  Cramps-  These were NOT period cramps.  In fact they felt like ovulation pains geared towards one side or ovary.  They began as soon as 4 DPO and continued off and on.

    2.  Fatigue-- two days before my BFP i was so tired I felt hung-over.  Dizzy and beyond exhausted.

    3.  Boobs-  Around 8/9 DPO my boobs felt very heavy.  Which is normal for my period.  What made them different was how pointy the nipples were. Significantly more than normal.

    4.  My minor symptons that I took notice of but we not too crazy:  vivid dreams, extreme thirst, and hot flashes.

Mine were exactly the same as AF, sore breasts and intermittent cramping for about 4 days before AF was supposed to show up. I was actually pretty dissapointed because of that because it felt like every other month before TTC.  I usually have about 15 day LT phase, so I tested at 13 DPO and got a negative (using a 'first response' digital test). After that I had pretty much lost hope and thought AF should be here any day now. But the cramping stopped and AF never came, that is when I realized that maybe I might be pg. So I tested again at 17 DPO and got my BFP. I had no other symptoms and still feel pretty good - except for some intestinal issues (e.g. bloating and having to go to the bathroom more).
